Saban Films has just released the trailer for the action crime film The Commando starring Michael Jai White, Mickey Rourke and Jeff Fahey. A DEA agent with PTSD returns home after a botched mission and must now protect his family from a home invasion after a recently freed convict and his henchmen come after their stash of millions inside of the agent’s home.

The official synopsis reads, “In this edge-of-your-seat crime thriller starring Michael Jai White and Mickey Rourke, an elite DEA agent (White) returns home after a failed mission when his family makes an unexpected discovery in their house – a stash of money worth $3 million. They soon face the danger and threat of a newly released criminal (Rourke) and his crew who will do whatever it takes to retrieve the money – including kidnap the agent’s daughters. Stakes are high and lives are at risk in this head-to-head battle as the agent stops at nothing to protect his family against the money-hungry criminals.” The film is directed and written by Asif Akbar.

Rourke during lockdown discovered the over 20 years long drama, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and took to Instagam to praise the work of the actors, saying, “I heard this show is been on for 20 yrs, i never knew anything about it before until the lockdown since i have all my gym equipment in my living room, 6 months ago while i’ve been doing all my training at home isolating i click on this show just by accident and curiosity and have to say i’ve never seen such terrific acting ever on television!”

Well, Mickey Rourke is getting his chance to work with Ice-T in his upcoming horror thriller 3 Days Rising. The offical synopsis reads, “A horror thriller that re-imagines Edgar Allan Poe’s masterpiece, ‘The Fall of the House of Usher.’ Living alone, Eric is seemingly descending into madness but that narrative slowly begins to unravel until the gruesome truth is revealed.”

The Commando arrives in theaters, on Demand and Digital January 7 2022.
