It was previously announced that more of that universe will be explored in The Boys: Varsity. Showrunner Eric Kripke spoke out about the show in a new interview with Deadline and confirmed that the spinoff will indeed be crossing over with the main series in some ways, though he couldn’t name any specific characters who might appear. Kripke also states that the spinoff takes place during the third season of The Boys heading into season 4, meaning characters like Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) could very well show up.

The Boys: Varsity Spoofs the X-Men
To expand the world of The Boys, the Varsity spinoff will take aim at Marvel’s X-Men. Its inspiration is the G-Men, a superhero group from The Boys comic books that parodies the X-Men characters. The spinoff will follow young superheroes in training as they learn to properly use their powers as led by a leader who serves as the show’s version of Professor X. Kripke also spoke about how he has a greater respect for Kevin Feige now that he knows the challenges of building a cinematic universe.
You can watch all three seasons of The Boys on Prime Video. The show has been renewed for a fourth season but it’s unclear when new episodes will arrive. The Boys: Varsity does not yet have a premiere date.
