A new set of posters tease the return of The Boys in the upcoming third season. Each warring faction is presented in a golden hue against a black background, which, alongside the newly released trailer, should have you sufficiently excited to return to the diabolical world of The Boys. You can see the set of posters below courtesy of The Boys’ official Twitter account.
The Boys Season 3 finds Billy Butcher in a surprising position – calm and on the straight and narrow. In fact, it’s been a year of calm. Homelander has been subdued. And Butcher is now working for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So, when The Boys learn of a mysterious anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into The Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy.
The posters offer another look at the core cast of The Boys, including Karl Urban as William “Billy” Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hugh “Hughie” Campbell Jr., Antony Starr as Homelander, Erin Moriarty as Starlight, and Laz Alonso as Marvin T. “Mother’s” Milk among others. They also provide another look at newcomer Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles, who looks to have a crucial role in the upcoming third series.
Butcher Will Level the Playing Field in The Boys Season 3
Prime Video
The mystery of Soldier Boy will be just one of the surprises presented by The Boys Season 3, with the biggest undoubtedly being the fact that Billy Butcher, the most anti-super person in the world, will gain some superpowers of his own. As shown in the trailer and again on these posters, Butcher will level the playing field by using a drug that can transform a non-super for 24 hours. Wielding laser vision, Butcher will, at last, be able to take the fight to Homelander in a way he has never been able to before.
Developed by Eric Kripke for Prime Video, The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, and Karen Fukuhara as the titular vigilantes, and Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher, and Nathan Mitchell as the main members of The Seven, with Giancarlo Esposito as the CEO of Vought International.
The Boys Season 3 will arrive on June 3rd, only on Prime Video. The first two seasons of The Boys have been met with much acclaim from both critics and audiences alike, with season 3 promising to continue the violent, unorthodox comic book mayhem.
