The set image has Kripke standing in the middle of cast members that include Tomer Capon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as The Female, Jack Quaid as Hughie, and Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk. The group are all giving the one finger salute in unison, keeping up with the nihilistic tone of the show. There are no details behind this scene being shot, or why they are all covered in blood. But it can’t be good, judging from some of the more visceral elements witnessed in the first batch of episodes.
One member of the cast not shown is leading man Karl Urban, who plays Billy Butcher. Though, the shocking season 1 ending twist may be the reason for his absence. You’ll have to dive in and watch if you want to know more. The Boys is based on the iconic comic book series by writer Garth Ennis and artist Darick Robertson. It gives superhero fans a world were these beings are real, and shows how corrupted they’ve become, and how they abuse their powers.
In season 2, we’ll get to see You’re the Worst star Aya Cash suit up as Stormfront. The next few episodes will focus on that big season 1 twist ending. The cliffhanger will lead to some new developments amongst the superheroes. There will be some unexpected superhero cameos.
