Independence Day is the day to thank Homelander for keeping American safe according to Vought International, the fictional corporation that’s responsible for creating superheroes as seen in The Boys. On the official Vought International account on Twitter, an image of Homelander was posted along with a message praising the patriotic superhero. The message declares that no one is better at defending the country than the Antony Starr-played “Supe” and that America is prospering, despite what anyone else says.

“It’s our patriotic duty to trust those who can get the job done,” the message reads. “And there’s no one better at defending American values than Homelander. Don’t listen to anarchists and the lamestream media, this country is PROSPERING! Happy Independence Day, and thank you, Homelander!”

Vought International on Twitter has previously been sharing plenty of in-universe news related to The Boys. Another previous post announced that Starlight would be joining Homelander as the two co-captains of the Seven. As seen in the Prime Video series, teaming the two up has seen approval ratings skyrocket, though Homelander was initially apprehensive about sharing the top spot in the group with another superhero.

The tweet reads, “We couldn’t be more excited for Starlight to join Homelander as co-captain of The Seven! It’s no easy task to lead a team this heroic, and with approval ratings this high. But we have a feeling this girl will get it done!”

The Supes of the Seven are more than just high-profile crimefighters. They are also movie stars, and in season 3 of The Boys, there latest feature film has just hit theaters. Dubbed Dawn of the Seven, the in-universe film serves as an origin story of the famous superhero team, though many creative liberties have been taken with the story. Most of the featured superheroes play themselves, including Antony Starr’s Homelander and Erin Moriarty’s Starlight. Though Charlize Theron also has a big role in the fictional film as the villainous Stormfront.

Of course, the Vought International social media channels have spent plenty of time promoting Dawn of the Seven as well.

The Boys can be found streaming on Prime Video.
