After flipping the bird at The Batman (no doubt many would love to see Robert Pattinson’s brutal take on the DC icon take on The Boys) and making a reference to a violent, crowd-pleasing moment in 2008’s The Dark Knight, the posters then move on to Batman projects of yesteryear, including “Butcher Begins” and “Frenchie: The Animated Frenchman.”

Finally, the posters, which have been unveiled by The Boys official Twitter account, harken back to Batman outings from the even more distant past, with Hughie looking typically confused and sad in “Hughie Forever,” while Mother’s Milk’s initials get given the golden logo treatment in a tribute to director Tim Burton and star Michael Keaton’s iteration of The Caped Crusader.
Starring an ensemble cast that includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, and Karen Fukuhara as the titular vigilantes, and Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher and Nathan Mitchell as members of the “Seven,” The Boys has been met with critical acclaim for its unorthodox, satirical approach to the superhero genre.
The Boys Season 3 Will Hit Prime Video in June
