Disney’s Zombies franchise has made the horrifying into a romantic and joyous musical for families. Throughout three films, be they direct to television or debuting Disney’s exclusive streaming service, Disney Plus, audiences have been treated to humans, zombies, werewolves, and aliens coming together in upbeat dance battles and passionate discussions on coming together as a community. A task that is well suited to its stellar cast.
Following the story of Addison (a human being that goes on a journey of self-discovery) and Zed, a zombie that works hard to be a positive role model and advocate for his fellow monsters, we get to see the two fall in love, survive the social trials of high school, and use their abilities to help the people of Seabrook realize that being different isn’t inherently wrong. Here we’ll look at the best songs featured throughout all three Zombies films.

8 Like the Zombies Do - Zombies 2 (2020)
Disney Channel
The werewolves have begun attending Seabrook High, and Zed and company decide to give the pack lessons on how to fit in with everyone else. Zed would start to sing to the werewolves that if they wished to fit in, they simply had to do what the Zombies had done.

Willa, Wyatt, and Wynter don’t take kindly to this advice, with them mocking Zed’s ideas. Willa would openly criticize Zed, calling him a hypocrite for asking them to change their ways while advocating for the zombies to be accepted for who they are. This brief philosophical debate would be captured in a catchy song and end in a fun dance break to wrap up the argument until later in the film.
7 Fired Up - Zombies (2018)
This song would initially be used during the cheerleading tryouts (don’t worry, no scares here), where Bucky, Addison’s cousin, would callously cut the potential cheerleaders for minor mistakes or simply because he didn’t like them. Bucky only wanted the best on his team, and Addison and her friend made the cut after Allison proved she could lead an audience of people through her cheer skills.
The song would be reprised at the end of the film when the town has come to accept the zombies, and we get to see Zed’s little sister Zoey team up with Addison in the first human-zombie cheerleading squad number. While Bucky would still hold resentment against the monsters, his heart begins to warm when Zoey admits Bucky really is the best cheerleader in the group, and he joins the group in ending the first film.
6 BAMM - Zombies (2018)
Accompanied by Zed, Addison gets a peek at how the zombies spend their time at night. Zed shows her a club where the zombies are free to dance and sing to their undead heart’s content. This scene would be one of the most memorable of the first film, with Zed leading the charge in what would be a fantastic night of fun and stellar dance moves from all involved.
This scene is also notable for being one of the only songs where Eliza has a featured solo for a song. With Eliza still not quite friends with Addison, Eliza would challenge the human, stating that this was zombie turf. After witnessing the unique style of the monster’s dances, Addison would show off her technique to much applause and acceptance. This would only be the beginning of a great romance and a great friendship.
5 We Own the Night - Zombies 2 (2020)
The werewolves are introduced to the franchise in the second film, and after mistaking Addison for their Great Alpha, the pack sets out at night for Seabrook High, looking for answers. Led by Willa, the pack begins a musical number under cover of moonlight, their natural environment.
Willa takes the lead vocals while the rest of the pack carries their every moment with power and purpose, making their dance one of the more intimidating and robust in the franchise. Wyatt would sing as well, and while his lines would show that he genuinely believes in the cause they are fighting for, he is ultimately subservient to Willa as the alpha. With such a strong introduction, many claim that the werewolves are their favorite characters in the franchise. And this won’t be their only appearance on this list.
4 Come on Out- Zombies 3 (2022)
Disney Plus
The werewolves have become the protectors of Seabrook, and they take this role very seriously. Aliens have recently come to town, seemingly with good intentions, but after discovering someone has attempted to tamper with the moonstone, the wolves have no choice but to act. This song features the wolves hunting the aliens throughout alleyways, streets, and even ripping a car apart in the search.
The dances seen throughout this song are different enough from the preceding film to show that the wolves have changed in personality, co-habitating with humans and zombies and living in an urban setting. And it would appear Willa has grown to respect Wyatt and Wynter more, as the two are trusted to go on searches alone and even lead smaller sections of the pack. This song would be another earworm persuading viewers to love the werewolves despite their decreased screen time.
3 Alien Invasion- Zombies 3 (2022)
Aliens come to Seabrook, but their entry doesn’t get the warmest reception. Thanks to their mothership’s entry into orbit causing wanton destruction to the town, audiences are treated to a chaotic song that features the entire cast singing their reactions to a seeming attack from a foreign threat, with only Addison stating that they may be friendly.
With electronic beats, the powerful tones of the werewolves, and the brief romantic respite between Zed and Addison, this song is the perfect precursor to all of the events that would unfold in the film and was on track to be one of the best songs from Zombies 3 (2022).
2 Flesh & Bone - Zombies 2 (2020)
“Flesh & Bone” would be one of the most passionate songs in the entire franchise, signaling a genuine call for separate communities to come together as one to stand up for what’s right. The werewolves stand their ground when the actions of a demolition crew threaten their moonstone. Despite threats of being arrested, they begin to sing of how it’s not wrong to stand your ground. Despite their stance, they would be sprayed with fire extinguishers, cuffed with silver handcuffs, thrown against a chain link fence, and forced to watch as their moonstone would be destroyed.
Addison and Eliza arrive with a group of cheerleaders and zombies, standing up to the adults in place of the werewolves, supporting their new friends. A touching moment would be when Zed, standing aside, not wishing to anger the humans or risk his father’s new job, realized how selfish he had been when the werewolves only wanted to protect what they held dear. Zed would rally the rest of the neutral bystanders to join the cause, leading the revolution that would lead to the werewolves’ freedom.
1 Someday - Various
Originally featured in the first film, Zed & Addison would sing this duet when they meet secretly in a room, knowing the scandal that such a romance between a human and a zombie would cause. Still, with their minds dreaming of a day they could be together publicly, the duo would sing of such a day coming to be. This song would touch the hearts of many who had faced similar prejudice against their love, leading to it becoming the anthem of the Zombies franchise.
The pair would reprise the song briefly in the second film when they enjoyed their dance together at Prawn, happy that they could finally enjoy a romantic moment together without worrying what others would think. The song would be brought back one more time in the third film; this time as an ensemble piece with all the characters facing separation from their love interests; they begin to sing of a day when they may all be reunited again. This romantic song certainly earns its place on the top as the best song in Disney’s latest hit franchise.
