After months of speculation, it has now been confirmed that most of the original cast members of That ’70s Show will be reuniting for That ’90s Show, an upcoming spinoff series in the works at Netflix. When the show was first announced, it was revealed that Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp would be coming back as Red and Kitty Forman. A new cast of younger characters would also be joining the series to serve as the new leads.

There hadn’t been any confirmation that other cast members of That ’70s Show would be joining Smith and Rupp as well, but per Variety, most of the other main cast members of the original series have officially signed on. This includes Topher Grace (Eric Forman), Laura Prepon (Donna), Mila Kunis (Jackie), Ashton Kutcher (Kelso), and Wilmer Valderrama (Fez). That makes five of the six original mains, as Danny Masterson (Hyde) is noticeably absent from the list. Masterson’s omission is not surprising as he was previously fired by Netflix from his role in The Ranch for allegations of assault and is set to go on trial in August.

Some cast members have teased a possible return to That ’90s Show, but it wasn’t until now that they had signed on. Just recently, Valderrama said he “would never say no” to reprising the role of Fez, as long as there were no scheduling conflicts. Grace seemed to cast doubt on his return by saying he has “a day job,” referring to his series Home Economics, but like Valderrama, it appears that the scheduling has worked out for everyone Netflix wanted to bring back.

That ’70s Show creators Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner, along with daughter Lindsey Turner, write and executive produce That ’90s Show with writer/showrunner Gregg Mettler. Marcy Carsey and Tom Werner of The Carsey-Werner Company also executive produce.
