Reginald the Vampire, the comedy horror series from Syfy, has been renewed for a second season following a successful run in its first season. The show, which premiered on Oct. 5, 2022, and ran for 10 episodes, received generally favorable reviews and was praised for its unique take on the vampire genre. The show was based on the novel series “Fat Vampire” written by Johnny B. Truant and starred Jacob Batalon, known for his role as Ned Leeds in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man films.

The series follows the story of Reginald Andres, a vampire who is rejected by the beautiful and vain vampire community due to his appearance. He struggles to navigate this new world while facing the everyday challenges of relationships, self-image, and work. The show was praised for its ability to blend humor with serious themes and for its relatable characters. An announcement post from Syfy can be found below.
