The CW upfront presented a nice surprise for Supernatural fans on Thursday. Misha Collins, Jared Padalecki, and Jensen Ackles were all in the building with each of them there to promote their three separate series the actors are attached to at the network. Because all three had spent many years on Supernatural together, they reunited on stage with Collins sharing the image to social media.

Per Deadline, the group appeared by interrupting CW CEO Mark Pedowitz. They then delved into pitching joke ideas for different shows that could be developed at The CW next. That includes a suggestion from Ackles to hold an “awards show from Hell” that they’ll call the “Demons’ Choice Awards,” a reference to the Critics’ Choice Awards.

Pitching a holiday special featuring his Supernatural character, Collins said, “Back of a napkin-type stuff like… A Very Castiel Christmas.” Meanwhile, Padalecki pitched a spinoff of his new series Walker which would be “a very special Hanukkah episode of Walker Texas Rabbi.”

“It’s fabulous to have all three of you back on stage again,” Pedowitz said after getting the reunion back on track.

The three actors have stuck with The CW following the end of Supernatural. Collins will play Harvey Dent in a live-action Gotham Knights series, based on the DC comic books. Padalecki is also working on a Walker spinoff, dubbed Walker: Independence, which serves as a prequel to the main show.

Supernatural Will Move On With a Prequel Series

The CW has also brought back Ackles for The Winchesters, a prequel to Supernatural. It is executive produced by Ackles and Danneel Ackles along with Supernatural writer Robbie Thompson. Additionally, Ackles provides the voice of Dean Winchester with the character serving as the series narrator. Meg Donnelly and Drake Rodger are playing Mary and John Winchester, the parents to Ackles’ Dean and Padalecki’s Sam.

Fans of Supernatural will certainly want to give The Winchesters a try. Ackles recently teased that the spinoff will tie into its parent series in major ways, so there should be a lot for fans to look out for. As the actor told TVLine in April:
