Warning: Article contains spoilers for Superman & Lois Season 2, Episode 11Practically every episode of The CW’s Superman & Lois manages to feel like a season finale. Tuesday night’s installment titled Truth and Consequences was no different. When other-worldly Jonathan Kent lands on earth to wreak havoc, it not only threatens the lives of the Kent family but forces Clark to reveal a long-held secret to his former girlfriend and long-time friend, Lana.

Bizzaro Jonathan came with the heat, but Clark’s son Jordan definitely brought the smoke. Everyone is not going to allow you to come for their brother. Tyler Hoechlin’s performance as Superman is stellar, especially in the emotional scene where he spills the tea to Lana. By the way, Hoechlin did audition for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel a few years ago but lost the part to Henry Cavill. It’s also funny how a pair of glasses can conceal one’s identity, and this is what every actor who has portrayed the superhero has done, including Hoechlin. So, what makes this Superman more distinct?

How This Superman and Storylines Differ From All Others

Aside from being a family man married to Lois Lane, Clark has twin sons, Jonathan and Jordan, and lives on the family farm in Smallville. He was fired from the Daily Planet, and Lois quit. One of the boys has inherited more than his father’s good looks. Wink-wink. Lana (Lang) Cushing is also now married with children. Iron Man-clad friend and crime-fighting partner John Henry “Steel” Iron was made aware of Clark’s donning of the cape after Lois needed his help in saving her husband’s life. Another character, Lt. Mitchell Anderson, also learned of Clark’s identity but took that secret to his grave. So, unlike all other Superman series or movies, this Clark Kent is having a little more trouble holding on to his identity.

The Kent and Cushing families’ drama is becoming more and more intertwined. Jordan is hopelessly in love with Kyle and Lana’s daughter Sarah, who recently broke up with him. Lana has a massive target on her back, with Lana from another world itching to get her hands on her. Oh, and this Superman has a brother named Morgan Edge, AKA Tal-Rho, who may be deserving of his own show.

Now that she knows the truth, what will be the consequences of Lana being made privy to such sacred information? Viewers will have to wait and see on May 31, 2022, when Superman & Lois returns to the CW.
