Street Outlaws: Fastest in America driver and star Ryan Fellows died in a car accident early Sunday morning at 41. TMZ reports the tragedy occurred just outside Las Vegas while racing another driver in what was the 8th out of 9 races to be completed that day. Fellows was in a gold Nissan 240z and lost control near the finish line. Ryan’s vehicle began to roll and catch fire; unfortunately, no one could get him out in time.
A spokesperson for Discovery said, ‘The Street Outlaws family is heartbroken by the accident that led to the tragic death of Ryan Fellows. We extend our deepest sympathy to Ryan’s loved ones as they process this sudden and devastating loss.’ Brad Sparks created a GoFundMe to help with funereal costs and aid the family:

Street Outlaws is as dangerous as it sounds, and this isn’t the first time a cast member has been involved in an accident. Earlier this year, JJ Da Boss (Jonathan Day) crashed his car with his wife Tricia as they filmed for Street Outlaws: America’s List. She was in a separate vehicle; however, they were both involved in the accident, which sent Tricia to the hospital for an extended stay.
“Ryan was an avid car enthusiast and was a road ‘warrior’ in many ways that extended to loves of basketball, cars and business in sales/advertising. He was admired for tenacity and a relentless drive to overcome the challenges before him. The only thing he loved more than these efforts were his family - his wife Liz, Children Josiah (18) and Olivia (10). The family will need help with the next steps of grief and living life after losing the heart and soul of their beautiful family.”
Street Outlaws has seen heartbreak in non-driving-related incidents too. Tyler Priddy, also known as Flip, was praised for his handiwork with cars and shared a close friendship with Big Chief and Kamikaze. He appeared in the first season of Street Outlaws, although he passed away before the show ever premiered. The cause of his death is unknown. However, it was not a car accident as first reported.
In September 2020, Christopher Ellis tragically passed away at 39. He was a skilled mechanic at Justin Shearer’s and Shawn Ellington’s Midwest Steer Cars Automotive business. He reportedly died from a heroin overdose, with his body being found days after passing. Street Outlaws and its various spinoff are a big hit for Discovery, and we will have to wait and see how the series continues following the loss of Ryan Fellows.
