It’s a stare-down between Eleven and Vecna in the newly released poster for volume 2 of Stranger Things Season 4. Released via Twitter, the poster finds Eleven in a face-off with Vecna, who has now been revealed to be Henry Creel AKA One, the first super-powered subject of Dr. Martin Brenner. The first part of Stranger Things Season 4 landed on Netflix at the end of last month, and pick up around six months after the events of season 3. Known as Vecna, the final moments of Season 4 Part 1 reveal the shocking identity of this latest threat from the Upside Down.

Portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower, Vecna is revealed to be none other than Henry Creel, the son of the mysterious man played by Nightmare on Elm Street star Robert Englund. After killing most of his family using his psychokinetic powers, Henry is taken in by Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) who renames him subject 001. Brenner attempts to replicate his powers, but fears One’s nihilistic outlook and lack of respect for authority, instead blocking his powers and making him an orderly.
Eleven later befriends the orderly, unaware of who he really is. Freeing him and allowing him to use his powers again, One goes on a bloody and brutal rampage before battling Eleven, who overpowers him and banishes him to the Upside Down. Scarred by his journey into the dimension, One has now become Vecna, and has his sights set on revenge.
