Stranger Things Season 4 will give us all some answers, returning star Millie Bobby Brown reveals. Speaking with Collider, while the actress is forbidden from going into much detail, she does reveal that the fourth season of the Netflix show will refer back to “things that you have been questioning,” and assuring audiences to “you get answers.”

Brown continued, though of course continued to play things coy, revealing that Stranger Things Season 4 will indeed delve more into Eleven’s mysterious past. While prior series have shown us some of the character’s background, season 4 is expected to offer a lot more detail, as well as several answered questions, as Stranger Things gradually begins to wrap up for its fifth and final season.

“I really can’t go into detail about that. Wow. Oh, my God. It’s going to be this type of day. I really can’t get into detail about that. What I can tell you is that it always leads back to The Upside Down and Eleven is obviously high character arc and this season is incredible. You guys definitely get to see things that you have been questioning, you get answers, which is super great. It was also really nice for me to be filming that and to understand more of Eleven’s background, but you guys will get to deep dive into that for sure [in] Season 4.”

“Well, that aspect of my story I can’t talk about because it’s so pivotal. But what I can touch on is when I was 10 years old in Season 1, those scenes were extremely difficult for me, but that storyline of her as a young child wasn’t covered. There were still so many questions from me and from the viewers. I know that the Duffer Brothers do so well in covering the background of each character, and of course, you get to see that this season.”

Stranger Things Season 4 Will Introduce a New Villain Who Could Have Ties to Eleven

One of the many mysteries posited by the recent trailer is the identity of Stranger Things’ newest villain. Named Vecna, some have theorized that this Upside Down monster is in fact One, as in the first experiment subject that led to Eleven.

Stranger Things season 4 will pick up six months after the Battle of Starcourt. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends is separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.

Starring Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, and Joe Keery, Stranger Things season 4 will be released on Netflix in two parts. The first volume is set to premiere on Netflix on May 27, 2022, with the second volume scheduled to be released five weeks later on July 1, 2022.
