Netflix has unveiled our first look at the return of Stranger Things Season 4 with a host of new images. Released via social media, the images put the spotlight on the members both old and new, of the beloved gang at the center of the Stranger Things drama as well as teasing the series’ release next month.
The images put many classic teams together once again, including Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, and Brett Gelman as Murray Bauman, who will need to find a way out of Russia and back to the States. The first look images also tease a heartfelt moment between Sadie Sink’s Max Mayfield and Caleb McLaughlin’s Lucas Sinclair, as well as showing that Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven will continue to work alongside Matthew Modine’s Dr. Martin Brenner in order to unlock her superpower potential. For now, at least.
Stranger Things Season 4 Part 2 will also see newcomer Joseph Quinn as Eddie Munson continue to be a part of the adventure, as he is shown displaying his now classic grin while working alongside Joe Keery as Steve Harrington and Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley. Finally, it seems that Finn Wolfhard’s Mike Wheeler, Noah Schnapp’s Will Byers, and Charlie Heaton’s Jonathan Byers will still be driving around the desert.
Stranger Things Season 4 Part 2 Will Land on Netflix on July 1
Netflix
The first part of Stranger Things Season 4 landed on Netflix at the end of last month, and pick up around six months after the events of season 3. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends is separated for the first time, and during this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces. Known as Vecna, the final moments of Season 4 Part 1 reveal the shocking identity of this latest threat from the Upside Down.
Portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower, Vecna is none other than Henry Creel AKA One. As in the One to Eleven’s number 11. The first subject of Martin Brenner, Vecna was thrown into the Upside Down after battling with Eleven several years ago. Psychopathic, all-powerful, and hellbent on revenge, Vecna poses the greatest threat the gang has ever faced, with Stranger Things Season 4 Part 2 sure to be more exciting than ever.
Stranger Things creators The Duffer Brothers have already teased how they plan to deliver on the finale, revealing that the last episode, which we now know will clock in at 2 hours and 19 minutes, will feature “more FX shots than the entirety of Season 3.” A revelation which suggests there will be a whole lot more from Vecna, a large amount of super-powered mayhem, and many more trips to the Upside Down.
Starring a large ensemble cast that includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Matthew Modine and Paul Reiser, Stranger Things Season 4 Part 2 will be available to stream on Netflix from July 1, 2022.
