Believe it or not, there are some things even the Jackass team members wouldn’t do. This year, fans of the franchise were able to see the group back together for what could be the final time with the release of their latest sequel, Jackass Forever. The film had no less insanity than what fans have come to expect from the series, but as the cast isn’t getting any younger, their most dangerous daredevil days are behind them.

All throughout the franchise, the Jackass cast has pushed the envelope with what they’d been willing to do, but there was at least one stunt they had to reject. In a new interview with ComicBook.com, Steve-O details the one stunt that was a bit too insane for even the Jackass team to consider. While the idea made it to a certain point in the planning stages, Steve-O says they all knew that it was just simply far too dangerous to actually carry out the stunt, feeling that serious injuries were practically guaranteed with this one, as opposed to just being a high risk. As Steve-O puts it:

Steve-O guesses that this concept came from some of the cast members once doing a similar stunt in Pennsylvania, but it was on a “little hill” rather than a mountain. In any case, it was a stunt that had even gotten set up by crew members before the cast apparently took one look at it and questioned its safety, leading to the stunt getting scrapped entirely.

Jackass Forever Might Not Be the End of the Series

The Jackass franchise could potentially continue beyond Jackass Forever. Johnny Knoxville has said that he’s retired from doing any more dangerous stunts after a Jackass Forever accident involving a bull left him seriously injured. Knoxville has also teased that he’s still open to making more movies, but he’d probably be working on them more from behind the camera with new cast members essentially taking charge.

Jackass Forever can be found streaming on Paramount+ after debuting in theaters in February.
