The Star Wars universe has always found it’s way into the video game world. From Atari to arcade games, from the PC to PS4. New stories and adventures with famliar and brand new faces have given us a new look into the galaxy far far away. Here we are now, once again excited to grab the controller and step into the world of the Jedi.

With a heart-pounding drumbeat, Lucasfilm Games and Quantic Dream, the award-winning video game studio and publisher, unveiled Star Wars Eclipse with a world premiere reveal trailer at The Game Awards 2021. This trailer is like none we have seen before, from the graphics and sounds to the action we see taking place. I highly suggest watching the new trailer below.

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY

As the first video game to be set in the era of The High Republic, Star Wars Eclipse will feature an original story and unique new characters, each with their own paths, abilities, and roles to play in the huge array of events that could alter the carefully balanced peace in the Outer Rim, a place that we know as Star Wars fans has always posed a problem for not only the Jedi but the universe.

We see a lot of new characters in trailer as well as some familar such as Yoda and a one eyed Druos as well as settings we have seen before like Naboo. But the one thing that reamins a mystery is the dark humanoid alien rising from the dark pool. The drums that play throughout can’t be a good sign either. We know that the setting takes place in the era of The High Republic. This is the golden age of the Jedi and so much has been left unknown during these times that we have a lot to explore. New adventures and new beings to come across as the Jedi try to keep the balance in the galaxy before the fall and of course the rise of the Empire.

Star Wars: Eclipse will be an intricately branching action-adventure game that can be played in multiple ways. This game puts the destinies of multiple playable characters in your hands. The choices that you make will create a unique storyline as every decision can have a huge impact on the course of the story. Through those decisions, players will define their own legend in the golden age of the Jedi. Star Wars: Eclipse is currently in the early stages of development at Quantic Dream’s studios in Paris, France and Montreal, Canada.

Now although the amazing trailer has us all ready to play this game, at this time we have no release date and I woudn’t be surpsied if we didn’t see this unitl late 2023 maybe even 2024. But from what we have seen so far, it is worth the wait.
