Fans of classic Saturday Night Live may want to check out the Dec. 10 episode. NBC has just announced that SNL favorites Steve Martin and Martin Short, who both also co-star in Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building with Selena Gomez, will be returning to co-host the show on that evening. Brandi Carlile serves as the musical guest for the Dec. 10 episode co-hosted by Martin and Short. This marks her second time as the musical guest, as she previously appeared in an October 2021 episode.

Martin has long been a mainstay at SNL as someone who’s already hosted on 15 previous occasions, not including popping up in nearly 20 separate guest appearances. Short had been an SNL performer in the 1980s before going on to solo host the sketch comedy program three times, followed by several special appearances over the years as well. Both appeared on the show when Gomez made her hosting debut on an episode earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Elvis star Austin Butler has also been tapped to host the Dec. 17 edition of SNL, which will be the final episode of the year before the show goes on its holiday break. This is Butler’s first time hosting after his breakthrough role in the Elvis Presley biopic released earlier this year that has garnered the actor Oscar buzz and widespread acclaim. Yeah Yeah Yeahs have been announced as Butler’s musical guest, and this is the second time the group has performed on the show in this capacity.
