The Good
A loving film that tries to rise above being one of “those” movies.
The Bad
Ultimately, this movie doesn’t reside in reality.Kirk (Jay Baruchel) is a lovable loser. He’s a nerd with not much going for him so of course the gorgeously hot Molly (Alice Eve) is smitten by him. Well, his friends, all of which seem to be morphed out versions of characters from the films of Judd Apatow, cannot believe that a girl like Molly would ever have anything to do with Kirk. In fact, as I was watching with this movie, I was sort of wondering if Baruchel was persona non grata among the Apatow clan for essentially doing an Apatow movie… WITHOUT Apatow?
In the end, She’s Out of My League ie that has its heart in the right place. Featuring a lot of witty banter, a fair bit of a raunch, and movie moments that are now designed to be uncomfortable, this film seems happiest when it is able to reside within the very cliches it seems bent on picking apart.

Deleted Scenes and Blooper Reel
As these are essentially the same types of content I decided that I would review them together. The Deleted Scenes are pretty much what one might expect from a release like this. We see moments that either went on too long, or for whatever reason, didn’t bring across an idea as well as some of the other material. The Blooper Reel contains scenes in which lines were flubbed or where the cast couldn’t stop laughing about one thing or another. I would say if are a really big fan of this film this is something you might want to check out.

1080p High Definition. This movie looked pretty good on Blu-ray. As I have often said, just because a movie gets made that doesn’t mean that it needs to be on Blu-ray disc. That would definitely be the case here. While this movie had a certain sharpness in the next gen format, at times, for the subject matter at hand, it seemed to be almost too sharp which really did nothing but call attention to the fact that we are indeed watching a movie. Director Jim Field Smith and Cinematographer Jim Denault do their best with what they have, however, if you are looking for some amazing vision you won’t be getting that here.
Audio
English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio - French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese 5.1 Dolby Digital - Subtitled in English, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. The audio on this movie was good but nothing that was amazing or great. Again, She’s Out of My League isn’t Avatar or some other big release in which the audio needs to be amazing and blow the viewer out of their seat. This film is a comedy and if you want to hear jokes or see site gags, all of that happens in an unimpeded way.
