While She-Hulk has now made her MCU debut on the small screen, courtesy of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law on Disney+, writer Jessica Gao thinks it’s just a matter of time before the character is added to the big screen roster. Speaking with Deadline, Gao echoed the earlier sentiments of Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo, stating that she would be “shocked” if She-Hulk does not appear on the silver screen. Particularly when it comes to The Avengers outings.
Goa also refers the mentioning of the superhero team in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, in a scene which claims that She-Hulk has already tried out for membership…and been rejected.
“I would be shocked if they didn’t start putting her in the movies, especially the group team-up movies.”
While we don’t know how true this claim by a reporter is, The Avengers will no doubt be looking for all the help they can get when they are thrown into both Secret Wars and The Kang Dynasty. In the comics, She-Hulk has been a part of a few teams, including both The Avengers and The Fantastic Four, and, with the likes of Iron Man and Captain America now absent (one through death, the other through retirement and old age), She-Hulk would surely be a welcome addition.
“One of the things that happen in She-Hulk is… there are all these things that are said, some of which are germane to her living in that world and these would be things that are said. But there’s that scene outside the prison where she goes to see Abomination and the report’s like ‘we heard she’s been rejected from the Avengers.’”

“There’s Not Going to be Another Avengers Without Her,” Says Mark Ruffalo
Marvel Studios
These words from Jessica Gao pair nicely with the recent statement from Avengers star Mark Ruffalo, who has played the role of Bruce Banner aka The Hulk since 2012 and reprises the character in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Attending the premiere for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law alongside lead star Tatiana Maslany, the actress asked for a year before taking over as the superior Hulk, to which Ruffalo replied, “All right, you can have a year. No, she’s in now; there’s not going to be another Avengers without her.”
Interestingly, Maslany looked shocked by the comment, suggesting that Ruffalo knows something she does not and has once again allowed himself to drop a few spoilers on his travels. “That’s what I’m hearing,” Ruffalo quickly added.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is the MCU’s first sitcom, and follows Jennifer Walters, a single attorney in her 30s, whose life becomes even more complicated when is suddenly able to become a 6-foot-7-inch green superhero after an accident. Starring Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk alongside Jameela Jamil, Ginger Gonzaga, Mark Ruffalo, Josh Segarra, Jon Bass, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Tim Roth, Benedict Wong, and Charlie Cox, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premiered on August 18, 2022 and has been met with largely positive reviews from critics. The series will consist of nine episodes as part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
