She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has delivered some unexpected moments and characters over its six episodes, but the arrival of Madisynn – with two Ns, one Y, but not where you think – was immediately the stuff of meme heaven for social media users. This is more than appropriate considering how much of the series revolves around social media opinions and fads, and actress Patty Guggenheim has recently responded to the way the character has taken over the internet.
Since her appearance in Episode 4 of She-Hulk, in which she was transported through other worlds and ended up becoming best buddies with everyone’s favorite Sorcerer Supreme, whom she has affectionately named “Wongers,” it has been hard to avoid the various online posts featuring the character super imposed into other movies, Including the MCU’s very own Avengers: Endgame. Now Guggenheim has responded to the idea that her ditzy character could possibly take on the likes of Thanos, telling Marvel.com:

She-Hulk acquiring Guggenheim’s unique creation all came about purely from the actress’ personal love of director Kat Coiro, with whom she has previously worked on a number of projects. She previously spoke about how anything Coiro does that has a role for her is a no-brainer, something that Madisynn would know about very well.
“I mean, Thanos and me. Did you see that one? I know she could [defeat him]! It’s just funny to see the Infinity Stones with a drink in her hand, those really made me laugh. It’s been very, very entertaining and very fun.”
Patty Guggenheim Was Drawn to Madisynn By the Character Description

Although Patty Guggenheim would give anything to work on any project that Kat Coiro is involved in, there was something in the description of Madisynn that she was given that really “unlocked something” in the actress and made it imperative that she take that role on. She commented:
While Madisynn’s time in the MCU seems to be done now, there is always a chance that she could make another appearance at some point, not least for her endearing friendship with Wong, who is obviously a long-stay in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s story. For now, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is steaming towards its finale and whatever new surprises in store.
“Kat Coiro and I had worked together on a show…so she knew about me for this role. She called me in and I auditioned on video chat and that’s how I got into this world. [In the script it said] ‘always a problem’ and it unlocked something in me. I think all of the episodes are uniquely very funny. This episode really hit me in such a deep way. I actually ended up knowing the writer, Melissa Hunter. When I found out she wrote it, I was like, oh my gosh. We talked and she was excited that it was someone she knew and I was excited that it was someone I knew. I was just blown away. She is brilliant.”
