We’re now less than a week away from the release of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, with the clip offering another look at what audiences can expect from the sitcom-esque Marvel outing. The footage teases the event that will cause Jennifer Walters to become the titular superhero, with her origin undergoing a few changes as it jumps from the pages of Marvel Comics to live action.
MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY
While her comic book counterpart acquires her powers willingly following a blood transfusion given by her cousin Bruce Banner, the Jennifer Walters of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will instead have greatness thrust upon her. When this serene car ride suddenly takes a turn for the worse, Jennifer will become She-Hulk after some of her Bruce’s blood is accidentally transmitted to her during the car crash chaos — chaos that comes a result of a giant, Sakaar-style spaceship and during a conversation about Steve Rogers’ love-life.
This change to her origin is expected to play a big part in the series, with Jennifer struggling to come to terms with her newfound power and responsibility. All she wanted to be was a lawyer, and now she has to do battle with supervillains and otherworldly monsters.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is Set to Start Streaming on Disney+ from Next Week
Marvel Studios
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will be the first straight-up comedy from Marvel Studios, with quips, jokes, and fourth wall breaks galore. The series follows Jennifer Walters, the cousin of Bruce Banner, who obtains her own set of superpowers as well as being transformed into a giant, green form following a car accident. Now able to become the 6-foot-7 green superhero known as She-Hulk, Jennifer is put in charge of handling cases involving other superhumans. Including the likes of ex-Hulk villain, The Abomination.
The series will be led by Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters AKA She-Hulk, with Avengers: Endgame star Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as Bruce Banner AKA The Hulk. Actor Tim Roth also returns, reprising his role as Emil Blonsky AKA Abomination from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk, with Benedict Wong starring once again as Wong.
Arguably the most exciting element of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, though, is the re-introduction of Daredevil. Spider-Man: No Way Home star Charlie Cox will once again don the horned costume, this time in striking red and yellow, with the Man Without Fear expected to play a major part in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law before launching into his own, standalone series.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is scheduled to premiere on August 18, 2022, and will consist of nine episodes, concluding on October 13 as part of Phase Four of the MCU.
