Sense8 was created by the legendary Wackowskis and was a revolutionary fantasy LGBTQ+ TV series on Netflix that instantly became a beloved classic, particularly with queer audiences. With an ensemble cast of LGBTQ+ characters, Sense8 followed a group of eight people from known as “sensates,” who, though from different parts of the world, are connected telepathically. Their connection allows them to communicate with each other, share each other’s thoughts, feelings, skills, and knowledge, and, more significantly, are the reason they are being hunted by an evil corporation.
Sadly, Sense8 only lasted for two seasons on Netflix and indeed was canceled prematurely. Immediately, fans rallied against Netflix’s decision to cancel the show, which, per Wired, ultimately resulted in a final, two-hour episode to be greenlit. For fans, this allowed for a sense of closure to the stories and characters they had wholeheartedly followed across two exciting seasons. In fact, the cast is arguably one of the biggest reasons why Sense8 was so popular. While we hope the series will one day be continued, here’s a look at where the cast is today.
