The Marvel Cinematic Universe has had some amazing films and TV series that have garnered fan attention and critical praise. Both Loki and WandaVision have attained some of the best reviews for an MCU television program. The entire franchise has earned billions of dollars for both Disney and Marvel, and expands the stories and lore of the MCU for fans to enjoy.

As of late, Marvel has just announced its newest TV venture entitled Secret Invasion, where audiences will be greeted again with the presence of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smoulders). The series will see the team off-world and go up against the Skrulls who have invaded Earth.

Fans have been curious as to whom they may find in the series, and at this point in the MCU, it seems that anything is possible. Here’s who we would like to see make an appearance in the new Marvel series.

Captain Marvel

     Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

We already saw Captain Marvel take on the Skrulls in her titular 2019 origin story. So, it makes the most sense that fans would get a glimpse of the super-heroine. Her no-nonsense attitude combined with Fury’s sarcastic tone seems like a match made in heaven for Marvel fans.

Marvel’s sheer power and presence might just be the thing that the team will need in stopping the Skrulls, as she was able to cut through Thanos’ ships like butter in Avengers: Endgame. That may seem like too easy of an answer when dealing with the enemy for this new series, but it’s still a possibility.

Kang

     Marvel Comics

Since fans were already greeted with a variant of Kang in the season finale of Loki, and moviegoers will be seeing him in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it would be incredible to see the baddie appear once more as a teaser before we finally saw him in action for his official 2023 cinematic debut.

Similarly, as Thanos appeared throughout the MCU, fans could see Kang being teased, perhaps at the end of the series, and expand on what his possible motivations could be. After all, he is a time-traveler who has blasts himself around the multiverse. It may not happen, but it would be epic if it did.

Eternals

     Marvel Studios

The team of much older Avengers, so to speak, first came on the scene of the MCU with their film in 2021, which introduced a number of characters. Looking back, it seems that the new team didn’t get the credit that they deserved, and their stories were mostly glossed over by the filmmakers.

Admittedly, the titular film received less-than-stellar reviews and performed poorly at the box-office, but that doesn’t mean that the members can’t get a second chance with Marvel’s new outing. There could be a team-up bridging the gap between the Eternals and the Avengers that would make a phenomenal crossover, as We Got This Covered speculated earlier.

Galactus

     Marvel

Given that it has already been confirmed that the characters are in space and off-world for the series, the MCU could introduce a new villain that has been long overdue. That villain could turn out to be Galactus. Since his motivation is primarily to eat all planets and life, there could be something of a team-up between Fury’s group and the Skrulls to try and take down the enormous baddie.

If done correctly, it would have to be a huge departure from the campy 2007 film Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. As a result, the look would have to be more comic-accurate rather than a pillar of large black smoke.

The Silver Surfer

     20th Century Fox

Where there’s Galactus, the Silver Surfer isn’t too far behind. Seeing this silver entity in the MCU might be the fresh take to get fans hooked on the series. The surfer is an enigmatic figure that could prove a formidable foe or loyal friend depending upon how he might be used.

It might seem slightly bizarre if his presence is used or referenced, but the idea would be more exhilarating than ever to see the concept being brought to the Marvel universe, despite the reception of the other Fantastic Four movies.

Ronan the Accuser

Ronan first appeared in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy and was largely seen as a missed opportunity. He appeared again in Captain Marvel and his potential was wasted even further. Of course, he was killed at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy, but in the MCU, death doesn’t always mean gone.

Ronan could prove to be hiding in the MCU and might even be the leader of the secret invasion in a twist of fate. His character’s villainy could be redeemed with the dawn of the new series and expand upon his character’s development.

Wolverine

If fans really get their way, Wolverine will make an appearance in the series. The bad-tempered superhero is one of the characters in the Secret Invasion comics, so seeing him would be something that fans would admire for a long time.

It was said that fans wanted Daniel Radcliffe as the hero, but since that seems unlikely, since the actor has claimed that that is not true, according to The Direct, and it might be too presumptuous to assume that he’ll be introduced in the series, it seems more like wishful thinking at this point.

Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield)

     Sony

Yes, this character is definitely a long-shot, but it’s not outside the realm of possibilities, since the MCU has already linked the Sam Raimi and Marc Webb Spider-Man movies. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans were able to confirm that the Multiverse is very much real in the MCU. With that being said, it is very possible that Garfield’s Spider-Man could make another appearance and help fight against the Skrulls.

It seems unclear how this might work, but it would get fans in a rousing frenzy to see the web-head go up against the Skrulls, possibly bringing him back through a multiversal paradox that the writers will concoct somehow.
