More SEAL Team is on the way at Paramount+. Deadline reports that the series has been officially renewed by the streaming platform for a seventh season. This follows the finale of the sixth season after the show’s move to Paramount+. Since season 6 concluded in November, fans have been waiting on the news of a renewal, getting the show trending multiple times with a social media campaign to make it happen.
In a statement, Paramount Streaming’s chief programming officer, Tanya Giles, said: “We look forward to bringing SEAL Team fans even more of the series’ poignant storylines and thrilling missions with the upcoming seventh season. The series continues to evolve and grow its audience. It is a great example of the types of programming that we see resonate with our subscribers.”

Reportedly, SEAL Team has been garnering high viewership on Paramount+, and the delay in the renewal wasn’t due to a decline in the show’s popularity. It’s said that producers and execs were merely discussing new ways to more efficiently produce the series for its streaming home. Budget slashing has been recently taking a toll on the industry, and SEAL Team is no exception, but an agreement has been reached to keep the show going for at least another ten episodes. That’s obviously good news for the fans, especially after season 6 concluded with a cliffhanger.

Meanwhile, there is no new information about the announced SEAL Team movie. It was previously announced that a tie-in film was in the works, but this was not mentioned in the renewal information for the show. The project has reportedly not been canceled as of this time, but rather shelved with plans to perhaps revisit the movie at some point in the future.
The series is produced by CBS Studios and executive produced by Spencer Hudnut, Christopher Chulack, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Mark Owen, and David Boreanaz. Boreanaz also leads the cast that also includes Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley, Toni Trucks, and Raffi Barsoumian. All are expected to return for season 7, while star Max Thieriot has departed the series to star in his new show Fire Country, which garnered its own renewal for season 2 on CBS.
SEAL Team season 7 does not yet have a premiere date set. You can stream past episodes on Paramount+.
