Borderline, a new comedic thriller currently in production in Vancouver, will star Samara Weaving, Eric Dane, and Ray Nicholson. It will mark the directorial debut of Jimmy Warden, who wrote the screenplay as well. Alba Baptista (Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris) and Jimmie Fails (The Last Black Man in San Francisco) will round out the cast.
The film’s premise is that a helplessly romantic sociopath escapes from a mental institution and invades the home of a ’90s pop superstar. He just wants to be loved, while she just wants to survive. Based on the premise and the photo of the film released by Variety, Weaving will be playing the pop star while Nicholson will be the sociopath. It’s presently unclear who Dane will be playing.
