However, as more footage has been revealed, most people have come around to the look of Jennifer Walter’s green alter-ego and director Kat Coiro has now explained exactly why She-Hulk was purposely not made into the same kind of “monster” as Bruce Banner’s Hulk....

First-time feature director Parker Finn has discussed proposed plans for a sequel to this year’s horror hit, Smile. In a new interview with Comicbook.com, Finn revealed that, while there are no current plans for a Smile 2, the filmmaker is not opposed to the idea — so long as he can find a unique way back in. Released last week, Smile follows Sosie Bacon as Dr. Rose Cotter, who, after witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain....

Anyone and everyone who’s watched Stanley Kubrick’s landmark horror film The Shining (1980) either once or multiple times over the years knows that its two lead actors, Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall are all but synonymous with the film. The existence of the film doesn’t seem remotely plausible without the two of them filling the roles of strained couple Jack and Wendy Torrance. However, per a report from CinemaBlend, an upcoming book about the film has revealed that Kubrick did in fact have a backup choice for character Jack Torrance, if Nicholson fell through....

Disney underestimated just how many parents on Super Bowl Sunday would drop off their kids at theaters showing Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds 3-D.After predicting that the movie would earn $29 million, the studio learned Monday that Sunday’s actual sales came in at $2 million more than it had estimated – bringing the weekend total to $31.12 million. Playing on just 683 3-D screens, it averaged $45,561 per theater – a record for any wide-release film and far surpassing the previous record of $35,540 set by Spider-Man 3....

CHIPS FALL OFF THE OLD BLOCKBUSTERS Not only did the final box-office results come in below analysts’ predictions on Friday, they came in below the studios’ own estimates on Sunday. Topping the list was Ocean’s Thirteen,which wound up with $36.1 million, a million dollars less than what Warner Bros. had estimated it would take in. Overall, the box office was down almost 12 percent from the comparable week last year, when Disney/Pixar’s animated Carsled with $60....

TV’S FADING BEAUTIES The annual Miss U.S.A. Pageant – like virtually every other beauty pageant – continued to take a beating in the ratings Sunday. The NBC telecast drew just 3.73 million in the first half hour, and while it improved to 6.71 million in the final half hour for the crowning, the number did not lift the network from the cellar. Meanwhile, on CBS a Hallmark Hall of Famemovie, “The Courageous Heart of Irene Sendler,” drew just 9....

TNT has greenlit the supernatural drama Proof, starring Jennifer Beals (The L Word, Flashdance), Matthew Modine (And the Band Played on, Weeds) and Joe Morton (Scandal, Terminator 2: Judgment Day).
