Industry forecasters said that it was likely to earn $10-12 million by the end of the day Wednesday. EMMY DOES AN ABOUT-FACE With virtually every major union in Hollywood lined up in opposition to its plan to pretape some of the Emmy awards for next month’s 61st annual telecast, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences caved in to the pressure Wednesday and announced that all 28 award presentations will be telecast live. IMAX Corporation and Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that Superman Returns, directed by Bryan Singer, will become the world’s first live-action Hollywood feature to be converted from 2D to IMAX 3D. IMAX Corporation will use its proprietary 2D to 3D conversion technology to convert approximately 20 minutes of the film into An IMAX 3D Experience, the most immersive cinematic 3D in the world. “Releasing select sequences of Superman Returns in IMAX 3D marks a groundbreaking moment in movies,” said Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution at Warner Bros....

Warner Home Video continues to celebrate the year of Superman with the release of the Superman Ultimate Collector’s Edition (UCE) on November 28 – day and date with the DVD debut of the Superman Returns Special Edition as well as the previously announced Superman DVDs Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut and The Christopher Reeve Superman Collection. Paramount+ has a hit on its hands with Tulsa King, and after pulling in high viewership, the series has been officially renewed. Per THR, Tulsa King will return for a second season, and the announcement comes after the series reached very high numbers following a special preview on Paramount Network that aired after the hit show Yellowstone. There have been a few attempts recently to bring the iconic hero Zorro back to the big and small screen, with Robert Rodriguez being reported to be developing a gender-swapped version, while Alex Rivera was only recently said to be working on a reimagining of the sword-wielding swashbuckler, turning him into a modern day hacker who uses the Zorro name as their tag. Now there appears to be a third contender for the Zorro crown, with That 70’s Show’s Wilmer Valderrama producing and starring in a live-action TV adaptation of Disney’s own 1950s show, Zorro, according to reports in Variety....

Ain’t It Cool News has been informed that Michael Apted will be directing the third The Chronicles of Narnia movie. The second film, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, is currently in production and is expected to be released in theatres on May 16th, 2008. Andrew Adamson directed the first film, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, and returns for the second film. Adamson had previously announced that he would not direct the third film, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, but would still be attached as a producer....

Ryan Reynolds name has been attached to the character of Deadpool since the first thoughts of seeing that character move from comic book to film came about, so it’s a relief to many fans that the actor will be taking on the role of Wade Wilson in the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Over the weekend, actress Nicole Eggert leveled sexual misconduct allegations against Scott Baio, stemming back from when they were both working on the hit sitcom Charles in Charge together. Scott Baio promptly took to social media himself to refute those allegations in a Facebook Live video, but both actors have taken their stories to the national news media, with Nicole Eggert telling her story on NBC’s Megyn Kelly Today yesterday, and Scott Baio responding to those claims on ABC’s Good Morning America this morning....

Shannen Doherty is reuniting with her Beverly Hills 90210 cast members for the new revival series on Fox. The official title of the six-episode limited series is BH90210 and it will see the surviving cast members together on the screen for the first time in quite a while. It was believed Luke Perry was going to try and make a cameo on the series, but he sadly passed away last month after suffering a massive stroke....

MTV recently spoke with actress Rachel McAdams, who was promoting her upcoming comdy Morning Glory, and she said that she doesn’t know quite yet if she will return for Sherlock Holmes 2. We reported in September that Noomi Rapace is playing the female lead in Sherlock Holmes 2, and it seems that if Rachel McAdams does return, it will be in a much smaller capacity: Sherlock Holmes 2 has been filming for the past month in England....

Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they have acquired the Worldwide Rights, excluding Latin America, to Jonathan Demme’s film, Neil Young Journeys from Shakey Pictures and Clinica Estetico. Demme and Elliot Rabinowitz produced the film, with Declan Quinn (Rachel Getting Married, Neil Young Trunk Show, Jimmy Carter Man From Plains) who served as director of photography. Neil Young Journeys had its World Premiere at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival to a tremendous audience and great critical acclaim....
