As production starts today on Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, the next installment in the action franchise, producers at the Halcyon Co. say they aim to deliver a PG-13 movie to Warner Bros. for release on May 22, 2009, according to Variety. The Terminator series is one of the highest-grossing R-rated franchises of all time, with the first three films having grossed more than $1.03 billion worldwide. But Halcyon producers thought it was time to broaden the upcoming fourth film’s audience base, and they believe the PG-13 won’t compromise the series’ gritty vision....

Terminator 2: Judgment Day star Robert Patrick has boarded the cast of 1923. Per Variety, Patrick will be appearing in a series regular role for the Yellowstone prequel series. The actor has been cast as Sheriff William McDowell, described as a friend of the Dutton family. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren are also set to lead the cast as a husband and wife duo in the Dutton family, with the cast also including Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, James Badge, Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, and Julie Schlaepfer....

The trailer showed how Jennifer Walters’ She-Hulk would become the face of her firm’s new legal counsel division, dedicated to cases associated with superheroes. I don’t think I ever thought I would say this – nor will I likely ever say it again – but I was fortunate enough to see Robert Rodriguez’s new children’s film Shorts at a press screening that was also probably half-filled with children. I actually was dreading the screening coming in for that reason, but then realized it was incredibly valuable since, well, I’m 32 years old and this film shoots at a demographic a couple of decades younger than me and, instead of sitting in a tiny screening room with adult critics, I saw it with a bunch of adult critics and a bunch of kids where I could see how they reacted to the film....
