COURT RAISES KANE SUIT A federal appeals court in San Francisco has revived a lawsuit filed by the daughter of Orson Welles in which she claimed that the estate of the renowned filmmaker is entitled to a percentage of the profits from sales of Citizen Kane. The film is currently part of the library of films owned by Turner Entertainment Co., a division of Time Warner. An attorney for Beatrice Welles later told Bloomberg News that under an agreement she signed with Turner the reversal of the lower-court decision will entitle her to compensation amounting to “seven figures....

Over the weekend, Supergirl producer Andrew Kreisberg, who also produces all of the other Arrowverse shows such as Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, was accused by 15 women and four men of sexual harassment, and now the star of Supergirl, Melissa Benoist, is speaking out. The allegations have lead to the producer being suspended from all of his shows by the Warner Bros. TV Group, with Berlanti Productions’ Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter issuing their own statement revealing that they are cooperating with the investigation that was launched by the Warner Bros....

Marvel Studios has confirmed that it is bringing The Avengers to the big screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it will be the next comic that gets theatrical treatment. The Incredible Hulk’s Zak Penn is writing the screenplay. What he is currently trying to figure out is which characters to include in the script. Since 1963, many Marvel heavy-hitters have joined and left the group. Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Ant-Man and Wasp, Hulk, Hawkeye and the Scarlet Witch have all appeared in the comic....

With the release of The Batman less than a week away, Andy Serkis has offered some insight into the relationship between his iteration of butler Alfred Pennyworth and Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne. Speaking with Digital Spy, Serkis revealed that The Batman will be taking a very different approach to the bond between Alfred and Bruce than audiences are used to, avoiding the more familiar father-son dynamic. So far on the big screen, Alfred has always been something of a surrogate parent to Bruce, with the likes of Michael Caine and Christian Bale’s takes on the character’s relationship, in particular, solidifying this idea....

Chilean actor Santiago Cabrera plays Cristobal “Chris” Rios, the former pilot of La Sirena and current Starfleet Captain of the U.S.S. Stargazer, on Star Trek: Picard. Cabrera also portrays the emergency holograms aboard La Sirena. Savage Steve Holland is making quite the director’s comeback this week. Popular in the 80s for directing such cult hits as Better Off Dead and One Crazy Summer, the long out of commission director already announced that he’d be working on a film titled The Big One 3. Now, according to Variety, he also plans on making National Lampoon’s Ratko: The Dictator’s Son. Robert Mittenthal and Michael Rubiner’s script revolves around a dictator’s son who heads to America to attend college....

Marvel Studios are familiar with CG characters and the work required to bring them to life. Josh Brolin played Thanos in two Avenger films, and Mark Ruffalo has appeared as a full CGI Hulk in numerous movies across the MCU. However, the upcoming Disney+ series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, will be the first time a lead character in a Marvel project is entirely CG. Following the first trailer’s release, fans worried about the VFX in the series and how the character might look incomplete and noticeably computer-generated....
