While the future of Shazam is yet to be clarified by James Gunn, the trailer for his new outing, Shazam! Fury of the Gods has finally arrived to give fans their best look yet at what to expect from the return of the DC hero....

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has rapidly expanded with their television series on Disney+. Each series has introduced new characters, worlds, and storylines to the MCU as part of the larger Multiverse Saga. Before 2022, the Marvel Comics character of She-Hulk had never been depicted in live-action. That has changed with She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, the final Disney+ series of Phase Four (per Collider). She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has become the second MCU series to focus on a super-powered lawyer....

We have lost another beloved actress as movie and TV star Shelley Morrison has sadly passed away. Perhaps best known for appearing on the comedy series Will & Grace, Morrison died on Sunday from heart failure after a brief illness at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She was 83 years old. Born Rachel Mitrani in 1936, Shelley Morrison began her acting career in the early ’60s. Some of her earliest roles included playing the American Indian, Linda Little Trees, in the NBC western series Laredo along with the Puerto Rican nun, Sister Sixto, in the Sally Field show The Flying Nun....

Sherlock is a BBC series that follows the story of Sherlock Holmes, a genius detective who solves the most difficult cases alongside his best friend and partner John Watson. Based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes detective stories, Sherlock brings a new modern twist to the beloved genius detective. The show was subject to commercial and critical success, earning it a number of awards, including a total of nine Primetime Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award....

Sony has signed The Da Vinci Code screenwriter Akiva Goldsman to adapt author Dan Brown’s first religious thriller, Angels & Demons, according to Variety. The Da Vinci Code has grossed $232 million worldwide in its first five days. Though development of Angels & Demons is still in the early stages, the studio’s also planning to reassemble The Da Vinci Code producing team of Brian Grazer and John Calley for the project....

Animated series Star Trek: Prodigy made its premier less than two weeks ago, but the spin-off series has already been given the green light for a second season by Paramount. The press release making the announcement said that “more adventures await the motley crew of the U.S.S.Protostar” explaining that the show “is already a hit amongst Paramount+ subscribers, and had the top performing premiere day out of any original animated kids series on the service....

Starz has released the first trailer and three new photos for Outlander, set to debut sometime this summer on the cable network. Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica) created this upcoming series, based on Diana Gabaldon’s beloved novels, which centers on Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), a nurse who is mysteriously transported from 1945 to 1743, where she is forced to marry Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), a Scottish soldier whom she quickly falls for....

Starz has added Lela Loren (Snitch, Gang Related), Naturi Naughton (Fame, The Client List, Mad Men) and Joseph Sikora (Jack Reacher, Safe, Boardwalk Empire) to the cast of the upcoming hour-long Starz Original drama series Power executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and created by Courtney Kemp Agboh (The Good Wife), who will serve as executive producer and showrunner. Mark Canton (300, 300: Rise of an Empire, Escape Plan), Randall Emmett (End of Watch, 2 Guns, Lone Survivor) and David Knoller (Big Love, Carnivale) serve as executive producers in association with CBS Television Studios....

At long last, Stephen King’s masterwork The Stand is getting the modern adaptation it deserves. There has been talk of bringing the author’s 1978, 1,100 page epic back to the screen for some time now, but nothing has actually materialized. Now, CBS All Access has officially given an order for a ten-episode event series based on the novel, with the creative team firmly in place. King had this to say about it in a statement....

Actors Edward Norton and Robert De Niro first worked with each other in ‘2001s “The Score,” which also co-starred acting legend Marlon Brando. If you are expecting to see “The Score 2” when you go to see “Stone,” which features the re-teaming of De Niro and Norton, then you will be disappointed. But you will be pleasantly surprised with the smart, touching and tragically moving film that is left instead. In addition, since Norton is so closely associated, still to this day, with his Oscar nominated performance in “American History X,” if you are expecting him to play a similar character in this film, you would be mistaken....

Stranger Things has been showing how dangerous it can be since the first season, when Will was kidnapped and pulled into the Upside Down. Throughout the show’s four seasons, things have only grown more harmful for the show’s main and supporting characters. Stranger Things has shown its willingness to kill integral supporting characters as a way to allow its central cast to move forward into the following season. However, as season five will be the final adventure for the series, Stranger Things has unlimited potential to do whatever it wants, and that means no one is safe....

With production under way on Stranger Things Season 2, Netflix has released the first cast photo, confirming the return of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and featuring two new cast members. We reported this summer that Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery have joined the cast, and we get our first look at these cast members in this photo that features all of the kids on the show, but doesn’t feature returning adults such as Winona Ryder and David Harbour....

The wait for Stranger Things season 4 may be a bit shorter than many fans expected it to be. Netflix only recently released season 3 upon the world, after a wait that lasted more than a year and a half between seasons. With that, it was reasonable to expect that the Duffer brothers were going to make us wait perhaps as long before returning to Hawkins, Indiana. However, it looks very much like we’re going to see the gang return for more spooky adventures in 2020....

BUSH “REHEARSAL” GOES ON AIRIn a technical goof that was captured on tape and quickly found its way onto dozens of websites, CNN Monday night carried 16 seconds of President Bush rehearsing his speech to the nation on immigration, then looking bewildered when studio technicians apparently interrupted him. Moments later, anchor Wolf Blitzer appeared on camera, blaming the gaffe on “the network pool.” Likewise, the Associated Press this morning (Tuesday) reported that a few seconds of the president practicing the speech was also carried by many NBC affiliates on the West Coast that were airing early evening newscasts....

COUPLES RETREAT LEADS BOX-OFFICE CHARGE Critics may have treated Couples Retreatthe way airlines treat luggage, but over the weekend, the film, a vacation romp shot mostly in Tahiti, produced the best opening of the year for a romantic comedy – $35.3 million, according to studio estimates. That was well above the $25-30 million that most industry experts had forecast. But it was hardly the biggest success story of the weekend. Paranormal Activity, the little $15,000 film that rewrote the book on movie marketing, took in $7....

Night Court star John Larroquette provided the opening narration for Tobe Hooper’s iconic horror movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. A long-standing rumor, one of the many surrounding the rough and ready making of the film, is that Larroquette was not paid for his time with cash but instead was supplied weed for his participation. According to the star himself, that is exactly what did happen. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is Tobe Hooper’s 1974 movie about a group of young people who become the victims of a backwoods family of cannibals, which includes the chainsaw-wielding Leatherface....

FX’s acclaimed hit drama The Americans returns for its second season on Wednesday, February 26 at 10 PM ET/PT. The Americans, the most critically-acclaimed new drama of 2013, was recently named by the AFI as one of the Programs of the Year. The series also received the most Television Critics Association Awards nominations of any show this year (four) and earned four Critics’ Choice Television Award nominations.
