HBO’s Sesame Street decided to get a little gritty with their The Walking Dead parody that features “crumbies” as zombies in The Walking Gingerbread. It’s quite amazing to see something so pure and innocent parody something that is so dark and violent, especially since this was actually officially made by Sesame Street, not some random YouTuber. In addition, the video is really well done and quite creepy when you think of some cannibalistic gingerbread cookies stealing Cookie Monster’s cookies every time he opens a new box, which for anybody who knows Cookie Monster, knows that’s the struggle for the character....

In the latest episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, “Mean, Green, and Straight Poured Into These Jeans,” the eponymous Jade Giantess (Tatiana Maslany) meets fashion designer Luke Jacobson (Griffin Matthews). This key character is a deep cut from the panels of Marvel Comics, first appearing in a title that doesn’t connect with the main superhero continuity: Dakota North. On the Red Carpet at the premiere for the series, Matthews spoke about being cast in the MCU, stating that attempting to contain one’s excitement is futile: “[y]ou just scream,” said Matthews....

The original Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, actress Noomi Rapace, has just signed onto play the lead female role in next year’s Sherlock Holmes 2. The Swedish actress will appear alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law in Warner Bros. follow-up to last Christmas’ hit action movie from director Guy Ritchie. Producers Joel Silver, Susan Downey, Lionel Wigram, and Dan Lin will reunited with Guy Ritchie on the sequel. While details of the plot are being kept under wraps, it is known that Sherlock Holmes will be squaring off against his longtime nemesis Moriarty....

Halfway through its fourth season, HBO announced today that it has issued a Silicon Valley renewal for its fifth season, but there is one big change in the mix. The network also announced that series regular T.J. Miller, who has played the enigmatic Erlich Bachman since the first season, will be leaving the show after this current fourth season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the critical shortage of shelf space at retail is prompting studios to slim down their DVD packages. While most studios have been focusing on TV-DVD, a category known for its bulky, complete-season sets, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is leading the charge in the movie arena by offering boxed sets of catalog movies in slimmer, trimmer cases. The studio is taking movies that previously were available only as individual units and grouping them by actor, director or theme....

IMAX Corporation and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced that Columbia Pictures’ highly-anticipated new action adventure Spider-Man 3 will be simultaneously released at theatres throughout the world and at IMAX theatres on May 4, 2007. The third installment of the phenomenally successful ¬Spider-Man franchise will be digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience. Spider-Man 3 will be directed by Sam Raimi, who also directed the first two blockbuster installments of the Marvel Comics superhero, Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, which reunites the cast led by Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco....

The death of Nichelle Nichols has left many in mourning including many of her friends and fans from the Star Trek community. On July 31, Nichols’ son posted a statement online announcing that the actress had died at the age of 89. Because she had made such an impact on pop culture with her trailblazing role as Lieutenant Uhura in Star Trek: The Original Series, the news has deeply saddened many, as can be seen by the messages of tribute coming in for the television icon....

Castle Rock premieres Summer 2018, only on Hulu. This footage offers a number of intriguing references that Stephen King fans will surely notice. In Stranger Things season 4, the danger escalated greatly. Now, while we wait for the fifth and final season, fans try to figure out how everything will come to the end. Stranger Things is a fun and well-written series. It has managed to make us suspend our disbelief so much that we can easily accept monsters from other dimensions and children with psychic powers with zero effort. We feel like we are part of the hell-fire club; it is like we know these characters personally....

NBC TO REFUND MILLIONS TO ADVERTISERS Instead of the usual network practice of giving advertisers “make goods” when programs fail to deliver a guaranteed audience, NBC has begun reimbursing them, according to MediaWeek. The publication said on its website Monday that NBC advertisers received an average reimbursement of about $500,000 each for ratings deficiencies in the fourth quarters. The network is unable to give make goods because it is essentially sold out except for the week following Christmas – generally regarded as an undesirable week for advertisers, MediaWeekindicated, noting that ratings are down for all the broadcast networks, a problem that arose even before the current writers’ strike....

After the new teaser trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie was released, Nintendo fans are already looking forward to a potential movie based on The Legend of Zelda. Back in the 1980s, The Legend of Zelda was developed as a cartoon series, but it’s never been given a proper feature film adaptation. New fan art is making the case for David Corenswet to play Clark Kent in the upcoming Superman reboot from writer James Gunn. While Henry Cavill reprised the role for a special appearance in Black Adam, meant to tease several more films to feature this version of the Man of Steel, those plans were tossed when Gunn was hired to steer the ship of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran. Gunn has since confirmed his new plans to reboot the character for the DCU, and he’s looking to cast a younger actor in the role....
