Set in a world where superpowers are a thing, those who have them are called Supes and are recognized as heroes by the public, and work for a huge organization called Vought International. However, while they may be praised and loved by their followers, the majority are actually vain, selfish, and do whatever they can that will benefit themselves. The viewers are invited to follow two groups — a team of superheroes called the Seven, led by arrogant, self-centered Homelander; and the Boys, a group of people looking to destroy Vought and its horrible ‘heroes’, along with its leader Billy Butcher, who does not have any time for superheroes and hates them all....

It was recently reported that Rust will be finishing production following the settlement of a lawsuit against the filmmakers over the death of Halyna Hutchins. In October 2021, Hutchins was killed on the set of the Western after a live round was loaded into the prop gun given to lead actor Alec Baldwin. A criminal investigation is still ongoing, but as of now, no charges have been filed in relation to the tragedy....

The latest hit series from the past to get the revival treatment is the original Law & Order. While the franchise is still going strong with multiple spinoffs airing on television, many longtime fans still miss the original Law & Order and its original cast. It has since been announced that the show is returning with the cast including Sam Waterston reprising his role as District Attorney Jack McCoy. We are now days away from the revival’s Feb....

The Saw franchise appeared to have reached its conclusion with Saw III, then again with Saw VII: The Final Chapter. After continuing with 2017’s Jigsaw and 2021 standalone installment Spiral: From the Book of Saw, we are now awaiting Saw 10. The tenth movie in the gore-loving franchise will see the return of Tobin Bell as John “Jigsaw” Kramer, and according to a post by the movie’s writer, filming is now complete on the film....

SCI FI Channel confirmed that it will not renew its record-breaking original series Stargate SG-1 for another season, but will pick up its spinoff series Stargate Atlantis for a fourth year. SG-1 aired its 200th episode on Aug. 18, and the SF series is the longest-running SF show on American television. SCI FI issued the following statement on Aug. 21: “SCI FI Channel is proud to be the network that brought Stargate SG-1 to its record-breaking 10th season....

Sesame Street has set a date for its star-studded 50th anniversary TV special. On Thursday, ABC announced that Sesame Street: 50 Years of Sunny Days, a two-hour special chronicling the history of the show that spans five decades, will be premiering next month. Produced by TIME Studios, the special is scheduled to air on Monday, April 26 at 8 p.m. ET. “For over 50 years, Sesame Street has addressed and explained diversity, equity, and inclusion around the globe by using the universal tools of music, empathy and celebrity....

For the uninitiated, Resident Evil: Retribution is essentially set up as the Fast Five of this franchise, meaning we see a lot of familiar faces return from past movies, such as Michelle Rodriguez as Rain Ocampo (Resident Evil), Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine (Resident Evil: Apocalypse), Oded Fehr as Carlos Olivera (Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Resident Evil: Extinction), and Boris Kodjoe as Luther West (Resident Evil: Afterlife). AOL announced that it will launch an online interactive game based on the popular Shrek franchise on April 26, three weeks before Shrek the Third hits the movie theaters. The game is co-produced by AOL, DreamWorks Animation and Mark Burnett Productions. Titled “Ye Olde Shrek the Third Royal Tournament,” the game poses a series of online challenges over a six week period involving characters and settings from the movie. Each day, players will have the opportunity to solve new challenges and explore new areas - in all, 25 individual games will be released over the course of the Tournament....

Sigourney Weaver’s Dr. Grace Augustine played a huge role in 2009’s Avatar. A brilliant xenobotanist behind the Avatar Program on Pandora, the scientist met an unfortunate end at the hands of Colonel Quaritch and was unable to have her consciousness transferred to her Avatar. Though that seemed like the end of the line for Weaver’s involvement in the epic sci-fi franchise, the actress says that her surprising role in Avatar: The Way of Water has been in the works just as long as the hotly-anticipated sequel....

IMAX Corporation, Albert R. Broccoli’s EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, and Sony Pictures Entertainment today announced that the long-awaited next chapter in the famed James Bond franchise, Skyfall, will be released in IMAX theatres simultaneously with the film’s international release on Oct. 26, and its domestic release on Nov. 9, 2012. This is the first IMAX installment of the iconic Bond film franchise. In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her....

As TBS attempts to enter the popular world of dramas, they’ve released the first images of the television adaptation of Snowpiercer to coincide with it’s presence at Comic-Con. We also have the official synopsis that was released for the new drama series based on the international cult hit movie. New images reveal some of the show’s stars. Jennifer Connelly (Only the Brave) is Melanie Cavill, the head of hospitality. The Beautiful Mind actress described her character as, “the voice of the train, she does the announcements to all the passengers....

Sofia Coppola was destined for a life involving film. The daughter of legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, she made her first appearance as a newborn in The Godfather, then continued to act up until her doomed performance in The Godfather Part III, which garnered extensive negative commentary towards her role in the film specifically. However, after coming out with her debut film as a director, The Virgin Suicides, Coppola established herself as one of the biggest American women filmmakers on the scene....

Season 4 of Southland is set to debut January 17th with Episode 1.04: Wednesday. This all-new episode finds John Cooper (Michael Cudlitz) returning to duty after recovering from back surgery. When it comes to George Lucas’s beloved Star Wars space opera, author Alan Dean Foster’s spin-off novel Splinter of the Mind’s Eye predates the blockbuster movie’s actual second installment, The Empire Strikes Back. Published in 1978, Foster’s book imagines a very distinct adventure for Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker. Who knows how the stars would have aligned for franchise success if the Star Wars sequel had been based on Splinter of the Mind’s Eye....

There’s plenty of discourse throughout the fandom of the Star Wars franchise about Hayden Christensen’s role as Anakin Skywalker, and whether he properly executed the character. Arguments break out about whether it was bad writing, or just Christensen’s awkward performance, but still, his character is just as iconic all these years later. It’s also hard to imagine someone else in the role of Anakin after Christensen made the role his own, but MSN states that over 1500 actors auditioned for the character....

Lucasfilm has kept quiet about who will be doing the conversion process on their upcoming 3D release of the entire six episode Star Wars saga, but a new LinkedIn profile update indicates that Prime Focus and Hyderbad-based Roto artist Ramidi Ashwin Kumar have completed conversion work on at lease one movie, suspected to be Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of The Dawn Treader is among Prime Focus’ most recent conversion work, of which it is quite proud....
