FOX TROTS TO FIRST PLACE Thanks to a resurgence of national interest in the World Series and a solid fall schedule, Fox appears certain to win the important November “sweeps” ratings contest for the first time. Superman returns, or at least so it appears. Recent reports indicate that Warner Bros. Discovery is moving forward on a long-awaited Man of Steel 2 with Henry Cavill set to reprise his role as Superman, his first time since 2017’s Justice League. Dwayne Johnson has been sprinkling in expectations to see Cavill’s Superman appear in Black Adam, setting up a showdown between the two characters. Target has thrown its hat into the Blu-ray arena. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Target Corp., the nation’s second-largest retailer, will start selling a Sony Blu-ray high-definition DVD player during the critical holiday shopping period and feature the player along with Blu-ray discs in store displays.” The plan is for Target to “sell the Sony BDP-S300 for $499 in October and display it along with Blu-ray DVDs from three studios, including Sony Corp....
