After the first TV spot for J.J. Abrams upcoming sci-fi thriller Super 8 aired during Super Bowl XLV, various individuals began dissecting each frame, and claims were made that the alien monster featured in the movie could be seen within the final shot of the Super 8 camera’s lens. Now it has been discovered that there are at least two or three different variants of this particular TV spot, and that the single frame, which supposedly revealed a look at the creature, contains one piece of a four part puzzle....

Electronic Arts will ship SUPERMAN RETURNS: THE VIDEOGAME, licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, on November 20. The game, which features storylines from both the Warner Bros. Pictures’ film Superman Returns and more than 60 years of DC Comics’ content, is being developed by EA’s Tiburon Studio in Orlando, Fla., the award-winning studio that develops Madden NFL football, the most popular sports franchise in videogame history. Disney’s milestone 50th animated feature Tangled managed to score $11.5 million on its first day of release, earning the highest Thanksgiving holiday opening day grosses ever. Debuting on Wednesday, Tangled managed to beat the previous highest Thanksgiving weekend opener Toy Story 2, which went onto score $57.3 million over the course of its entire holiday weekend back in 1999. Tangled is expected to make close to $65 million over the course of its five-day holiday weekend....

Casting news on four television programs, according to The Hollywood Reporter: Law & Order alumni Elisabeth Rohm and Ryan Devlin have come aboard ABC’s Big Shots, Jordan Bridges is doing NBC’s The Bionic Woman, and Brando Eaton has been added to NBC’s Journeyman. On The Bionic Woman, Bridges will play Tom, an unassuming teacher’s assistant at a prestigious university who also works for the CIA and is a potential love interest for Jamie Sommers (Michelle Ryan)....

Rights owner Megan Ellison and Arnold Schwarzenegger have set Terminator 5 to begin production the fourth quarter of 2012, which has forced director Justin Lin to drop out because of his previous commitment to Fast & Furious 6. Terminator 5 is one of two Terminator franchise films the trio planned to make together. Justin Lin hopes to return if Megan Ellison and Arnold Schwarzenegger will wait until he completes Fast & Furious 6....

The CW has released a new trailer for The 100 season 7, which is set to be the final season of the long-running sci-fi series. One of the first screenings of The Batman went viral when moviegoers were given something they hadn’t bargained on as the cinema was invaded by real bats. The video taken by one of those watching the movie was uploaded to Twitter after a fluttering sound was heard, and real bats began flying around the room.
