In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Sasha Grey (The Girlfriend Experience) is in talks to join Mark Pellington’s I Melt with You. Grey, as well as Zander Eckhouse, Abhi Sinha and Arielle Kebbel, are joining a cast that includes Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe and Jeremy Piven. Mark Pellington wrote the script with Glenn Porter. The character drama follows college friends (Jane, Lowe and Piven) who, as adults, find something missing when they have their annual summer reunion....

Universal Pictures is readying a new version of Scarface, which is not intended to be a remake or a sequel. Martin Bregman, who produced the 1983 Scarface remake, and Marc Shmuger are attached as producers. The studio is currently seeking out writers for a new take, which would include the gangster elements found in the original 1932 Scarface and the 1983 remake which starred Al Pacino in his legendary turn as gangster Tony Montana....

British screenwriter Steven Moffat is writing DreamWorks’ Tintin, the movie trilogy collaboration from Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Moffat is best known for penning the new Doctor Who series and the BBC’s Jekyll. Moffat’s other credits include penning the British version of the television series Coupling. In the comic created by Herge, Tintin is a young Belgian reporter and world traveler who is aided in his adventures by his faithful dog Snowy....

WTO RULES AGAINST CHINA’S FILM POLICY The World Trade Organization ruled on Wednesday that China’s highly restrictive policies on foreign movies, music, books and videogames violate an agreement it made when it joined the WTO in 2001 to provide open access to imported goods. The international body ordered China to bring its policies “into conformity with its obligations under those agreements.” Presently, China permits only 20 foreign movies to be distributed each year – and all of those must be handled by the official China Film Group....

FORMER FCC HEADMEN RAP INDECENCY CRACKDOWN A former FCC commissioner and the commission’s former general counsel have filed an amicus brief supporting the television networks who are fighting the FCC’s crackdown on indecency. Noting that they were both involved in the FCC’s decision in the “seven dirty words” case, Henry Geller and Glen Robinson said in their court filing, “We urge the court to take this occasion to hold that the Commission’s expansive and aggressive new campaign of enforcement goes beyond the limitations assumed by the Supreme Court when it affirmed the FCC’s indecency doctrine in 1978....

PLANS TO LAUNCH OLYMPICS NET OPPOSED BY IOC A major row has developed between the U.S. Olympic Committee and the International Olympic Committee over Thursday’s announcement by the U.S. group that it plans to launch a new cable channel devoted to Olympic sports, the Los Angeles Timesreported today (Friday). The IOC said that such a move could jeopardize its deal with NBC, which bought rights to the Olympics through 2012 and holds a minority stake in the Universal Sports Channel, which also presents Olympic events....

Supernatural first aired in 2005, and instantly became a hit among fans of sci-fi, as well as a good old-fashioned brother-buddy pairing. The Good A very well constructed show that managed to elevate the medium of children’s cartoons. The Bad I would have loved some commentary tracks from the Turtles. Leonardo, Donatello, Michaelangelo and Raphael are back for 39 shell-kicking episodes in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Season 4! In trying to save the city from evil forces like Shredder, Krang and others, these Humanoid turtles who were taught the way of the ninja by Hamato Yoshi are pulling out all the stops....

The Good It is great to have this Coppola gem on DVD and packed with extras. The Bad The fact that this great film was all but ignored upon it’s release.Bennie (Alden Ehrenreich) goes to Buenos Aires to search for his older brother Tetro cent Gallo) who has been missing for longer than a decade. When Bennie eventually finds his brother much of their shared past comes to the foreground, and these two brothers are both forced to deal with it....
