The Good Fans of this show almost have all the pieces of it’s comedic, seasonal puzzle. The Bad Extras? Sandra Bullock and Tom Hanks are being eyed for starring roles in the feature version of post-9/11 drama Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close with Scott Rudin producing for Warner Bros. and Paramount. According to Variety, Warner Bros. indicated it has sent out offers to Sandra Bullock and Tom Hanks but no formal negotiations have been reached. Set in 2003, based on the Jonathan Safran Foer novel, the story centers on a 9-year-old boy who finds a key in a vase that belongs to his father – who perished in the Sept....

According to MTV, Scarlett Johansson will be re-teaming with Samuel Bayer in Brilliance. The two worked together on Justin Timeberlake’s music video for “What Goes Around…Comes Around,” which Bayer directed and features Johansson. “Scarlett is one of the sexiest actresses around,” Bayer told MTV News. “And she can just become her characters. Look at what she did during the Corvette scene, which a lot of people won’t catch. She was shooting that on a green screen, and right before we were rolling, she was laughing....

United Artists announced today that principle photography on Bryan Singer’s latest project Valkyrie has stared in Berlin. Here are two photos from the film. Valkyrie stars Tom Cruise as Col. Claus von Stauffenberg, a man who led an assassination plot on Adolph Hitler’s life in 1944. The film also stars Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Patrick Wilson, Stephen Fry, Tom Wilkinson, Carice van Houten, and Eddie Izzard. The “July 20th plot” on Hitler’s life is one of the most heroic but least known episodes of World War Two....

Star Wars has a legacy spanning the last 40 years. Since Lucasfilm teamed up with Disney, the amount of content has increased exponentially. Star Wars fans were given an unexpected trailer this week when a supposedly leaked trailer for the Knights of Ren appeared and was quickly shared online. While some were quick to call out the trailer as fake, others were left considering how credible the whole thing was, despite the image being very unsteady and appearing to be recorded on a jittery camera phone in a theater. However, Star Wars creative executive Pablo Hidalgo responded to a story about the footage with a comment that left no doubt the trailer was indeed fake....

In fact, Sony’s gambling movie 21 far surpassed predictions, taking in $24.1 million over the weekend. COURT: TV WRITERS CAN USE PROFANITY – EXCEPT IN SCRIPTSCourts may have struck down the use of profanity on primetime TV, but writers were assured of their rights to use such language in the workplace when the California Supreme Court on Thursday tossed out a sexual harassment suit filed against Warner Bros. TV and the writers of Friends. In its opinion, the court said, “The record discloses that most of the sexually coarse and vulgar language at issue did not involve and was not aimed at plaintiff or other women in the workplace....

i>NORBIT BITES BOX OFFICE Norbit, starring Eddie Murphy in three separate roles (including a grossly overweight woman), earned a big, fat $33.7 million at the box office over the weekend, well ahead of analysts’ forecasts. MGM’s latest addition to the Hannibal Lecter franchise, Hannibal Rising,placed second with $13.4 million, considerably below expectations. Both films had received mostly negative reviews. Third place went to Universal’s Because I Said So, which earned $9 million in its second weekend....
