OZZY AND FAMILY TO REVIVE TV VARIETY FORMAT The traditional primetime variety show, long considered a relic of television’s golden age, is about to be revived by Fox – at least for a six-episode test run. The network announced Monday that the untitled hour-long show will be hosted by the Osbourne family – Ozzy, Sharon, Jack and Kelly – and will include interactive elements and contests. The project, being spearheaded at Fox by Mike Darnell, the network’s president of alternative programming, and produced by James Sunderland of FremantleMedia North America, is expected to come together in time for a Christmas special....

FOOTBALL PUMMELS SUNDAY RIVALS Sunday night was again dominated by football, beginning with an overrun on CBS at 7:00 p.m. that drew 17.5 million viewers. NBC took over the ball at 8:00 p.m. with Football Night in America,followed by the game between Indianapolis and Arizona, which averaged 13.48 million viewers, peaking in the 9:30 p.m. half-hour with 15.68 million viewers. CBS placed second for the night with 11.72 million viewers, coming out ahead of ABC with 10....

Supernatural star Jared Padalecki has responded to the news of an upcoming prequel series with great disappointment.
