Anchor Bay Films has picked up the U.S. rights to the Nicolas Cage thriller, Seeking Justice. Slated for a March 16th theatrical release, the film co-stars January Jones (X-Men: First Class, Anger Management) and Guy Pearce (The Hurt Locker, The King’s Speech) . Directed by Roger Donaldson (The Bank Job, Dante’s Peak), Seeking Justice was produced by Endgame Entertainment’s James D. Stern, along with Ram Bergman and Material Entertainment’s Tobey Maguire and Jenno Topping....

It’s almost time to go back to Moordale for more Sex Education as Netflix has announced the new season starts September 17th. The new season was originally announced by the show’s Headmaster Groff - played by Alistair Petrie - in a post on YouTube back in February last year. This was followed by Asa Butterfield, who plays socially inept Otis, saying he had read the first episode of season 3 in July, and then it has just been a long, long wait, but now it’s finally almost over....

Actress Sharon Stone has joined the cast of Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story for director Matthew Wilder (Your Name Here). Sharon Stone will play the mother of porn star Linda Lovelace, who we reported last year will be portrayed by Malin Akerman. The biopic will be based on Linda Lovelace’s autobiography, Ordeal: An Autobiography, which she co-wrote with Mike McGrady. The book chronicles Linda Lovelace’s rise to international fame after starring in the XXX classic Deep Throat, and how she was forced into the porn industry by her abusive husband....

The Bloomquist brothers have teamed up to bring She Came from the Woods to the screen this year. The film takes place at the fictional Camp Briarbrook in the heat of the summer in 1987. The camp was founded and is being run by Gilbert McCalister (William Sadler), his daughter Heather (Carla Buono), and the type of hapless camp counselors one would expect to staff a facility like Camp Briarwood....

After losing Yeah Yeah Yeahs for the final episode of Saturday Night Live for the year, the sketch comedy series has brought in Lizzo as a replacement. It had been previously announced that Yeah Yeah Yeahs would serve as the musical guest for the Dec. 17 episode alongside Elvis star Austin Butler making his hosting debut. It was to be the second time the band appeared in that capacity on the show after serving as a musical guest in 2009 for an episode hosted by Zac Efron....

A family spokesman confirmed yesterday that Steven Bochco passed away in his sleep. He was 74-years old. Bochco changed the landscape of television, not once, but multiple times in his nearly 50 years in the business. He developed hit shows including Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, Doogie Howser, M.D., and NYPD Blue to name a few. His no-nonsense attitude and thirst for creative control earned him the reputation of being difficult to work with and even arrogant at times, but his record speaks for itself and stems from an early conversation he had with a famous producer....

Relativity Media, LLC (“RML”) announced today it will finance and produce Steven Soderbergh’s next project, Knockout. Soderbergh will direct the film, as well as produce alongside his producing partner, Gregory Jacobs, and Relativity’s Ryan Kavanaugh. Lem Dobbs has been tapped to write the screenplay. Dobbs and Soderbergh previously collaborated on The Limey. Relativity’s Tucker Tooley will serve as executive producer. Production is slated to begin in February 2010. Knockout is an action-packed, female spy story in the vein of The Bourne Identity....

Straight from the grounds of San Diego Comic-Con, we finally have the first full-length trailer for Steven Universe: The Movie. Cartoon Network initially announced last year that they intended to give the series a feature-length continuation. Unfortunately for fans, updates have been few and far between in the time since. That all ends today, as we not only have the trailer for this action-packed musical adventure, but the movie has finally been given a premiere date....

This week, Nielsen revealed that Stranger Things became the most streamed series of 2022 with its 4th season, which made perfectly clear that the Duffer brothers’ creation is Netflix’s biggest hit. After the explosive ending of the last slot of episodes, fans have been waiting for the final season news.
