Sony Pictures Classics announced today that they have acquired all US Rights to Robert Redford’s The Company You Keep. Redford, who directed and produced the film, also stars alongside a stellar cast including Shia LaBeouf, Julie Christie, Sam Elliott, Brendan Gleeson, Terrence Howard, Richard Jenkins, Anna Kendrick, Brit Marling, Stanley Tucci, Nick Nolte, Chris Cooper, and Susan Sarandon. Additional producers include Nicolas Chartier (The Hurt Locker), and Bill Holderman (The Conspirator)....

You can bring home the latest film collaboration between Russell Crowe and director Ridley Scott on both DVD and Blu-ray this September. Robin Hood will be released on both DVD and Blu-ray on September 21. We don’t have any pricing details or cover art images but the film will be released on a bare-bones DVD with no special features, a two-disc special edition and a three-disc Blu-ray edition, which will contain a Digital Copy of the film and also the standard DVD as well....

Sam Raimi would be interested in making Spider-Man movies for some time to come, but only if he has final creative control. The director of the first three Spider-Man films, as well as the upcoming Spider-Man 4, spoke to Empire about the film, and some of the issues he had with the third film in the series. “They really gave me a tremendous amount of control on the first two films, actually,” Raimi said....

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has been a big success at the box office for Disney and Lucasfilm, which is probably very good news for Star Wars fans. The movie did a few risky things, but perhaps most importantly, it was the first time a character from an animated Star Wars series was brought into live-action in the form of Saw Gerrera. The character first showed up in Star Wars: The Clone Wars but now, he will be showing up on Disney XD’s Star Wars Rebels....

Harrison Ford and Sean Connery are damn near looking the same age as it is, so it’s no great loss that Connery won’t be returning to the Indiana Jones franchise. According to Variety, the actor has turned down George Lucas and Steven Spielberg’s offer to appear in Indiana Jones 4, instead opting to stay happily retired. It was revealed a while back that Seth Green and Breckin Meyer would be appearing in the upcoming third season of Heroes, but details about their appearance remained scarce. As promised by Todd McFarlane, major news has just been revealed for the upcoming Spawn movie. Ahead of the announcement, McFarlane teased that a Spawn movie announcement would be made on Wednesday, and that information has just arrived in the form of an exclusive report from THR. The long-gestating reboot is having its screenplay rewritten from scratch but with some big names in the comic book industry involved. Reportedly, Joker co-writer Scott Silver is teaming up with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s Malcolm Spellman, who’s also co-writing the upcoming movie Captain America: New World Order, along with rising scribe Matthew Mixom to pen the new Spawn script....

NO RATINGS THIS WEEK Nielsen Media Research said today (Monday) that it is delaying the release of all primetime program ratings from last Friday through this coming Thursday following the Friday’s switch from analog to digital television. “The ‘hold’ will allow us to ensure that there is sufficient time to fully validate data prior to release,” Nielsen said in a statement. The delay affects release of ratings for Sunday night’s ABC telecast of the final NBA match between the Lakers and the Magic, won by the Lakers 99-86....
