I was so amazed with a certain documentary I saw a few weeks ago called Unknown White Male. It’s about a guy who woke up one morning, only to find himself on the New York Subway heading to Coney Island. He had no idea who he was, no idea where he was going, and no idea how he got to where he was. The man’s name is Doug Bruce, and his story is caught on film in this documentary....
Seven years after it was canceled by Fox, the much-beloved sitcom Arrested Development returned for its long-awaited fourth season on Netflix back in 2013. The success of this show lead to the streaming service bringing other hit shows back from the dead, like The Killing, Full House and even Inspector Gadget, with series creator Mitch Hurwitz saying today that Season 5 of the hit sitcom may start filming in early 2017....

While Kevin Feige has made it clear Marvel Studios is pushing Spider-Man: No Way Home for Oscar glory, the epic superhero movie will not be in contention for the 2022 BAFTAs. According to a report by Deadline, Sony failed to upload the film to the online platform for BAFTA to consider before the window closed for entries to this year’s ceremony. BAFTA members were informed, and despite an attempt between the awards body and Sony, an exemption could not be made....
Stan Kirsch, a veteran actor best known for his starring role on the Highlander television series, has reportedly committed suicide. As reported by TMZ, the actor’s wife, Kristyn Green, found Kirsch’s body hanging in the bathroom of their Los Angeles home on Saturday, though the circumstances leading up to the apparent suicide aren’t yet clear. Paramedics were quickly dispatched to the residence when the body was found, but Kirsch was unfortunately pronounced dead on the scene and there was nothing they could do to save him....
We reported a few days ago that a True Blood star had booked two upcoming film projects and one of those projects has added two new actresses to its cast. Heat Vision Blog is reporting that Stana Katic (Castle) and Odette Yustman have signed on to the cast of The Double. The actresses join a cast that already includes Richard Gere, Topher Grace and Stephen Moyer. The story centers on a retired CIA agent (Gere) who comes back to help a young up and coming FBI agent (Grace) solve the murder of a Senator....
The Star Trek universe will never be the same following the events of the 2009 game-changing blockbuster reboot. Beginning with Star Trek #1 in September, IDW Publishing and CBS Consumer Products join forces with Star Trek writer/producer Roberto Orci to explore the vast implications of the alternate timeline created by the film in a new, monthly, ongoing comics series. “Movies cost money. Lots and lots of money,” said Orci. “But comics give us unlimited budgets to take the crew of the Enterprise farther than they’ve ever been....
We now know when the upcoming Star Wars Live-Action TV Show takes place in the timeline. Fans of the franchise have been waiting a very long time for Disney and Lucasfilm to pull the trigger on a live-action TV series and they’re finally making it happen. BOX OFFICE: THUNDER HIT BY HURRICANE The box office was hit by a double whammy over the weekend. Not only did it have to suffer through the usual lackluster attendance over the Labor Day holiday – the only major holiday of the year when attendance traditionally falls – but it also was hit by the oncoming Hurricane Gustav. Along a wide stretch of the Gulf Coast, movie-theater owners shut down. Those who did not watched many of their patrons evacuate their neighborhoods and take up lodgings in inland emergency shelters; they would not have been in the mood for a night at the movies....
WILL NIGHTLINE RULE LATE-NIGHT TV? ABC, which once hoped to land David Letterman and later Jay Leno to host a late-night talk show, has discovered that what it already has been airing in the time period is more potent than Letterman and might very well also wind up stronger than Leno’s successor, Conan O’Brien. The website TVNewser.com pointed out Thursday that ABC’s Nightlinehas been expanding its audience for 18 straight weeks and that its ratings during the week of May 4 were up 9 percent over the same week last year....
Just one week after new photos surfaced of Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) together, The CW has released a new trailer showing these heroes finally teaming up. This footage shows that Superman and Supergirl will join forces when communications are lost with a space craft that is seen plummeting towards Earth. While Superman was mentioned and referenced numerous times in the first season on CBS, this new season on The CW will finally bring these Kryptonian cousins together....
