The cast of The CW’s Supernatural appeared at San Diego Comic-Con to show off an epic highlight reel, which we have for you below, and to promote the upcoming 14th season of the hit show, which will contain its 300th episode. According to Variety, TBS is teaming with Malcolm In The Middle scribe Rob Ulin on a single-camera family laffer – a departure from the comedy cabler’s brand of high-concept original reality. The network has greenlit production on a series pilot for Boy’s Life, about the relationship between an eighth grader and his slightly eccentric single mom. Ulin wrote the script and will exec produce the series. TBS will produce. Boy’s Life is narrated by middle-schooler Scott, who loves his mom but winces when she starts dating his gym teacher, the father of his class rival....

The Apple TV+ hit series Ted Lasso will be back filming for its third season on Valentine’s Day 2022. Even though Ted Lasso has become Apple TV+’s biggest hit, picking up the Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy for its first season, there have already been hints from creator Bill Lawrence that the upcoming season could be the last due to scheduling conflicts with Jason Sudeikis, who plays the title character. The news of the impending shooting schedule arrived courtesy of Hannah Waddingham, who last year won an Emmy herself for the work in the series, and will be returning for the new season....

Robocop is getting supersized on August 21! In a story from DavisDVD, they report that everybody’s favorite cyborg cop is getting a makeover from MGM in the Robocop 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition DVD. This two disc collectors edition will contain an audio commentary, multiple featurettes, deleted, scenes and an extended version of Robocop. Many DC fans were ecstatic to learn that Ruby Rose had been cast as Kate Kane, aka Batwoman in the CW’s Arrowverse. However, there were a lot of “fans” who were upset that Rose was cast as the openly gay superhero, with some going as far as to criticize the network for hiring a straight actress to portray the lesbian Kate Kane character, without knowing that the Australian actress came out as gay when she was 12-years old....

It has been widely reported that the next Star Trek film would be a Starfleet Academy story recounting how a young James T. Kirk and Mr. Spock first met as cadets. Filmmaker Sam Mendes has weighed in on the debate over gender-neutral awards. Mendes, who won an Academy Award for American Beauty and a BAFTA Award for 1917, was promoting his latest film, Empire of Light, in a new BBC interview. The director was asked about recent comments made by non-binary actor Emma Corrin that the Oscars and similar awards shows need to do away with gendered awards, such as Best Actor and Best Actress, so those who don’t identify as either male or female will feel more included....

Now that production is starting to crawl forward for Spider-Man 4, the question of securing all of the primary cast has come to the front of everyone’s minds, especially the film’s main stars, Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst. The director of the franchise, Sam Raimi, recently told SCI FI Wire that he is meeting with Dunst soon to discuss her involvement with the film. “I’m hoping that she is going to come aboard, and I’ve got a meeting coming up with her,” Raimi said....

Three months after giving the green light for the Scream pilot, MTV has hired writers Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin to write the first episode of the potential series. No story details have been revealed, and it isn’t known if the show will have a whole different approach, or if it will be a continuation from the popular Scream horror movie franchise. Both Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin currently write for the hit ABC drama series Revenge....

It seems you get to see one of the stars of Heroes on the small screen a month earlier. According to Entertainment Weekly, Sendhil Ramamurthy will guest star in an episode of the USA Network series, Psych. The actor, who portrays Dr. Suresh on Heroes, will guest star as Raj, a man who believes that he is cursed, which he believes is proven by the awful things that happen to his girlfriends....
