FEW GLITCHES DURING ELECTION-NIGHT COVERAGE The television networks kept their promise not to declare a winner until all of the polls closed on the West Coast Tuesday night. Some viewers found their reticence frustrating. In the Chicago Tribune, TV columnist Phil Rosenberg wrote that as he watched he kept “thinking of what it would be like for a weathercaster who shows his audience radar pictures of a hurricane as its heads toward shore but isn’t supposed to tell you that it almost certainly will hit the coast....

After six supercharged seasons, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC mark the end of an epic era with the final installment of the action-packed series with the release of Supergirl: The Sixth and Final Season on Blu-ray and DVD March 8, 2022. Fans can purchase the sets which, in addition to all 20 super-powered episodes from season six, also contains an all-new featurette and deleted scenes. The first episode of the CW superhero show Superman and Lois debuted recently, offering a fresh retelling of the Man of Steel’s marriage to reporter Lois Lane. The episode ended with the reveal that the main villain of the series is going to be a character called “Captain Luthor”. In an interview with EW, Superman & Lois showrunner Todd Helbing explained how this new Luthor will compare to Jon Cryer’s Lex Luthor who previously showed up in the CW’s Arrowverse....

After just over ten years on screens, Bob’s Burgers worked hard to get to where it has. Warner Bros. is in the process of remaking the 1992 hit The Bodyguard into a new, modern-day feature. Jeremiah Friedman and Nick Palmer will write the screenplay. The original 1992 movie The Bodyguard starred Kevin Costner as a Secret Service agent brought onto protect a singer (Whitney Houston) who fears for her life because of a dangerous stalker. Eventually, the Secret Service agent falls in love with the celebrity. The new version of The Bodyguard will be revamped for today’s digital age, with an Iraq War veteran taking on the bodyguard job, discovering that it is even more difficult to protect celebrities in the 21st Century....

We’ll be learning much more about the history of Vought’s superheroes in the third season of The Boys. After two successful seasons on Prime Video, there is a lot of anticipation from fans for season 3 to arrive with production on the new episodes now wrapped up. Many fans are especially interested in seeing the arrival of Supernatural star Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, one of Vought’s very first created supes....

The relationship between Sharon Osbourne and The Talk is completely over. Spending over a decade on the daytime talk show, Osbourne had joined The Talk in 2010, where she served as a co-host until her controversial exit in 2021. Her departure followed Osbourne coming under fire for defending her friend Piers Morgan, who’d similarly been facing his own backlash for comments he’d made about Meghan Markle. Shazam! Fury of the Gods is finally complete. Director David F. Sandberg shared the momentous news on his Twitter account with a shot of Zachary Levi’s titular hero and the words, “Finished! Now for a little time off.” Like many DCU movies of late, the sequel to 2019 hit Shazam! has been shifted back and forth in Warner Bros. Discovery’s release schedule, moving from an original 2023 release, to December 2022 and finally settling on March 17, 2023....

While there is no word if this will be a miniseries or if it will continue on in season two, the series certainly sent audiences on a trip they could not have predicted. The series follows Jennifer Walters (played by Tatiana Maslany) as a young lawyer who accidentally gets her cousin Bruce Banner’s Hulk blood in her system resulting in her transforming into her own Hulk, one the media dubbed and Jennifer later adopts She-Hulk....

A tremendous amount of care went into making She Said. It pulsates through every frame of director/Emmy winner Maria Schrader’s (Unorthodox) powerful film. Written by Oscar-winner Rebecca Lenkiewicz (Ida), the movie is based on the painstaking New York Times investigation of movie mogul Harvey Weinstein by Jodi Kantor, Megan Twohey, and Rebecca Corbett, and the bestseller, “She Said: Breaking the Sexual Harassment Story That Helped Ignite a Movement,” written by Kantor and Twohey....

Spider-Man: No Way Home has registered the second-highest opening day box-office gross of all time. The film webbed $121M on its opening day, placing it just behind Avengers: Endgame but still surpassing Star Wars - Episode VII: The Force Awakens. No Way Home was already a fan-favorite before release, given that it brought back an ensemble of the cast from past Spider-Man films, going full-circle with Spidey’s lore in films. No Way Home earlier broke the pre-sales record when tickets went out....

Spider-Man: No Way Home is expected to be the biggest hit of the last two years, and while that is not difficult considering the circumstances, even without a global pandemic crippling the industry for a large portion of that time it is likely the movie would still have been on track to post record-breaking stats. As tickets went on advance sale for the December release, numerous websites including AMC, Regal and Fandango were al taken offline due to the surge in demand which crashed their servers, and as others followed many of the sites struggled with the continuous flow of visitors in the hours after....

MOVIEWEB VIDEO OF THE DAY It was always expected that free streaming for all Star Trek properties would eventually go exclusive to Paramount+. Star Trek is one of CBS/Paramount’s largest and most lucrative franchises. The streaming model is the way of the future; it is unsurprising that CBS/Paramount would want to lock in such a lucrative franchise into their own streaming service so that they can benefit from having sole streaming access to it....

Lucasfilm Animation’s revolutionary animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which has enjoyed a spectacular run on Cartoon Network, is coming to TNT for an encore run this February. The network will kick off the series with back-to-back episodes presented in high-definition Saturday, Feb. 14, at 11 p.m. (ET/PT), immediately following TNT’s NBA All-Star Saturday Night. TNT will then present back-to-back episodes in the series’ regular timeslot, Wednesdays at 10 p....
