Paramount Pictures has released a second clip from Gore Verbinski’s animated tale Rango, which comes to theaters March 4th. The voice cast for the animated comedy-adventure includes Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Bill Nighy, Alfred Molina, Harry Dean Stanton, Ray Winstone and Timothy Olyphant. In the clip, Rango (Johnny Depp) and his friends head off with some musical accompaniment. Take a look! Actress Selma Blair has revealed that she has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The star of Guillermo del Toro’s Hellboy movies and Cruel Intentions took to Instagram recently to reveal, in a lengthy and emotional post, that she has been diagnosed with the disease. While Blair certainly has a long road ahead of her, it appears as though she’s taking the diagnosis as well as could be expected. The 46-year-old actress is currently filming her new Netflix series Another Life....

As our day at Culver Studios wore on, we started to meet some of the new faces on this mini-series-turned-regular series, The Starter Wife, which premieres on the USA Network on Friday, October 10 at 9 PM ET. Ironheart’s cast has gained a new member! According to Deadline, Shakira Barrera has joined the team as a series regular on the upcoming Disney+ show. As of now, Marvel has not confirmed the role. Ironheart is slated to be a six-episode series and will star Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams. For newcomers, Ironheart follows Riri, a young inventor who is a certified super genius. While attending school, she secretly crafts her very own super suit similar to that of Iron Man....

Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman (Capote) is set to star in the lead role and executive produce the twisted Showtime comedy pilot Trending Down. Acclaimed actress Kathryn Hahn (Revolutionary Road) will also star in the pilot as Lee Payne, Thom Payne’s (Hoffman) wife. Trending Down is a blistering attack on our youth-obsessed culture, and a darkly comic examination of what it means to matter. Or matter not. The project centers on Thom Payne, a man facing his own obsolescence after his advertising agency is taken over....

Leading the charge toward the next generation of optical disc-based high-definition media, Sony Electronics has begun shipping its 25GB (GB = Gigabyte) single layer Blu-ray Disc recording media with AccuCORE technology. In addition, a dual layer 50GB capacity disc is set to debut in June. Sony’s AccuCORE technology, which was first integrated into recordable DVD media over a year ago, has been re-engineered for Blu-ray Discs to deliver enhanced reliability and durability....

It will still be a while before we get a good look at Andrew Garfield in his Spider-Man costume for Marc Webb’s upcoming Untitled Reboot (aka Spider-Man 2.0). But Showbiz Spy confirms that the actor has already been put through some quite rigorous dress rehearsals, and that the costume has been given an update with a very “high-tech” design. No pictures or concept art are available yet, but it shouldn’t be too long before pics of the actor in costume are leaked on the Internet for everyone to critique....

Late legend Stan Lee is getting lots of love with his name trending on the day he would be celebrating his 100th birthday. Born on Dec. 28, 1922, Lee made it to the age of 95 when he passed away in 2018. Fans are still missing him years later, and while it’s unfortunate Lee isn’t here to personally join in on the celebration, people weren’t going to let the big day go by without paying tribute....

i>DISTURBIA SUPERBIA In an otherwise lackluster weekend, Paramount/DreamWorks’ Disturbiaproved to be a standout, earning $22.2 million, nearly twice what analysts had forecast it would take in, according to final figures released by Media by Numbers on Monday. Blades of Glory, also from Paramount/DreamWorks, slipped to second place with $13.8 million after spending the previous two weeks at the top of the list. Meanwhile Warner Bros.’ 300 added another $4.5 million to its gross, putting it past the $200-million level....

THE OLD GRIND AIN’T WANT IT USED TO BE A funny thing happened on Grindhouse’s way to becoming the top film of the weekend. Well, actually three funny things – the holdover comedies Blades of Gloryand Meet the Robinsons and the newcomer Are We Done Yet? Grindhousecame in a disappointing fourth, earning just $11.6 million – half the gross that analysts had predicted. By contrast, Glory dropped only 30 percent in its second weekend, raking in an estimated $23 million and bringing its total to 68....

STAR WARS: THE TOY BATTLE In what is regarded as an unparalleled promotion involving the toy chain Toys ‘R’ Us and a production company, the theatrical release of Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be accompanied by a July 26 midnight opening of Star Wars “boutiques” at more than 225 of the toy retailer’s outlets. Noting that Star Wars toys have been a hit at Toys ‘R’ Us stores since 1977, the company said that it also plans to promote the August 15 release of the film with a countdown clock in every store, “so fans can count the minutes to each of this year’s continuing galactic milestones, including the theatrical release of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the premiere of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series on Cartoon Network and the release of Star Wars: The Clone Wars on DVD....
