And she’s recovered well enough to finally announced that she is returning to her earliest movie roots. Yes, the iconic TV actress is returning to the small screen in the Heathers TV reboot. In a marketing stunt that shatters the fourth wall, Titania (Jameela Jamil), the antagonist of the ongoing She-Hulk: Attorney at Law series on Disney+, appeared in Los Angeles, California, on August 24, 2022, to vandalize posters advertising the show. The video documenting the vandalism was posted to Twitter by the official She-Hulk account, which was soon quote tweeted by the @Titania account with a “smirk” emoji. According to the bio for the now-verified Titania account, she is an “Influencer,” an “Icon,” and a “Global lifestyle brand (kiss emoji)....

Starz has announced that Spartacus: War of the Damned will be the final season of the network’s popular Spartacus series. The 10-episode season will debut in January 2013. The writers and producers behind the upcoming sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One), Chris Miller and Phil Lord, have responded intriguingly positively to the idea of live-action Spider-Man Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire appearing in the highly anticipated animated follow-up. Apparently, Spider-Man: No Way Home had its own tribute planned for Spider-Man co-creator and Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee. Though the moment didn’t make it in the film, writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who returned to pen the third film, did plan something for him on-page. A detail from the full script of Spider-Man: No Way Home suggests that there was a small glimpse of an old gentleman at the end of the film, who would have been a Stan Lee look-alike, giving Marvel fans an easter egg referencing Marvel Studios’ long-spanning track of having Stan Lee cameos....

Marvel Studios has confirmed that plans are underway to produce a Broadway musical based on Marvel’s ever popular Super Hero, Spider-Man. Produced by Hello Entertainment/David Garfinkle, Martin McCallum, Marvel Entertainment, and SONY Pictures Entertainment (billing in formation), the musical will be directed by Tony Award-winner Julie Taymor with U2’s Bono and The Edge creating new music and lyrics for the project. A reading is scheduled to take place this summer. No dates for a Broadway opening have been confirmed at this time....

Yakko, Wakko and Dot are coming back to TV for two more seasons. Hulu has officially picked up the Animaniacs reboot for two seasons in a straight-to-series order, reviving the beloved animated TV series that has been off the air for nearly 20 years. The Animaniacs show will also be bringing back executive producer Steven Spielberg, who worked on the original run of the series in the 90s. The studio behind the acclaimed animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, is serving up another season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch soon. The “bad batch” refers to a group of defective clones with various mutations, who later refused their orders to turn on the Jedi. After the events of Star Wars: Episode III, they become mercenaries for hire while avoiding the Empire. Legendary voice actor Dee Bradley Baker reprises his role - or roles, rather - as the clones Hunter, Wrecker, Crosshair, Echo, and Tech, while Michelle Ang returns as Omega, a young girl who is the only female clone of their progenitor, Jango Fett....

Voice actress and impressionist Rachel Butera posted a video of herself on social media mocking the voice of Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault. Butera voices Leia Organa in the upcoming Star Wars Resistance animated series and several Star Wars fans are upset that she was poking fun at the alleged victim of misconduct. Butera quickly deleted the social media post and then offered an apology....

TV NEWS IGNORES MURDER OF BLACK EDITOR Several black journalists are expressing dismay over the lack of coverage by the broadcast networks of the killing of Oakland Posteditor Chauncey Bailey on Thursday. Richard Prince’s Journal-isms blog, which focuses on the work of minority journalists, observed Sunday that none of the network news programs have even mentioned the slaying. Rudolph Brewington, a former Washington D.C. broadcast journalist turned Navy spokesman, told Journal-isms, “It seemed like the major white media as a whole didn’t respond to the shooting of a black journalist the way I KNOW they would [have] responded had it been a white journalist murdered (a la Daniel Pearl)....

NBC’S GOT NO. 1 AGAIN NBC, which struggled during the regular season just to place any of its shows on Nielsen Research’s top-ten ratings list, had the No. 1 show on the list for the second week in a row. The show, America’s Got Talent, drew 11.82 million viewers. Among adults 18-49, Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen took top honors. Nevertheless, CBS won the week among overall households, thanks to a strong assortment of regular shows – mostly reruns – and the NBA finals, which pulled strong ratings by ordinary standards but not by the standards of past NBA telecasts....

ESPN TOUTS ITS BEST DAY EVER ESPN claimed Tuesday that its takeover of Monday Night Football produced its biggest audience ever – some 9.1 million viewers. ESPN also noted that it was the second biggest audience ever to watch a cable telecast. Erin Brockovich screenwriter Susannah Grant has been hired by Disney to write an untitled biopic on Texas high school teacher Lynn Shaw. Smallville creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are producing this drama, which centers on Shaw, a teacher who built up a high school drama program and turned it into one of the best in the country. Lynn Shaw died of breast cancer in 2009. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar first sparked to the project after watching an ABC News Nightline segment on the teacher, which featured her former students at J....

Tell Me Lies follows Lucy (Grace Van Patten), a newly single college freshman, and Stephen (Jackson White), an overconfident upperclassman, as they navigate the ups and downs of their toxic relationship. The show begins at a wedding four years after Lucy’s graduation before jumping back eight years to the fall semester of her first year away at college. We reported yesterday that Hannover House and Red Bear Entertainment were making a new 3D animated film based off The Terminator called Terminator 3000 and now Deadline New York is reporting that Pacificor, the company which holds the rights to the franchise, has issued a cease and desist order to stop the film. Hannover House CEO Eric Parkinson told the site that the news made public because solely because one of the potential partners in the project had spoken publicly about it, and that he was still awaiting word from William Morris Endeavor, the agency that is representing Pacificor....
