Ryan Seacrest, host of the 59th Primetime Emmy Awards and American Idol, will take a late-night break on the eve of the EMMYs to sit down with Spike Feresten on the sophomore season premiere of Talkshow with Spike Feresten Saturday, Sept. 15 (Midnight-12:30 AM ET/PT) on FOX. Feresten and Seacrest will chat “host-to-host” as Seacrest prepares to host one of television’s biggest events. In addition to catching up with Seacrest on the road at the San Diego American Idol auditions, the premiere will feature a new installment of “Comedy for Stoners” and Spike hitting Venice Beach for a sketch feature on “Homeland Security....

Building upon the tremendous success of cable’s top paranormal franchise Ghost Hunters, Sci Fi Channel has greenlit the pilot for a brand-new series, Ghost Hunters: College Edition (working title) from Craig Piligian’s Pilgrim Films and Television. Ghost Hunters: College Edition features a group of college students, led by seasoned investigators, who search for the paranormal in haunted hotspots around the country and around the world. Enjoying record-high ratings throughout its run since 2004, Ghost Hunters remains one of cable’s hottest shows and is currently celebrating its best season ever....

Jennifer Walters can survive anything. Fueled by her quiet rage and her passion for justice, the young attorney is determined to move forward – because who isn’t after law school, but one can probably imagine this feeling is a million times worse for a Hulk – and take on superhuman legal cases at a New York City law firm. But the series also promises an undercurrent of something a little different from the often more serious Hulk-fare: a half-hour legal comedy scripted in the style of Law & Order procedural....

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has already delivered a number of cameo appearances, but according to star Ginger Gonzaga, the show has some cameos coming that no one will be expecting. From the initial trailer for She-Hulk, there was no secret made about some of the MCU stars who would be appearing in the series such as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Wong and Emil Blonsky. However, as the series heads into its second half it looks like there still some surprise characters from the pages of Marvel Comics to come....

Any fan of the Doom series of video games born after a certain year remembers the 2005 movie Doom starring Karl Urban and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. While not faithful to its source material in any way, the movie was at the very least entertaining and is one that can be very easily be thrown on during a party or a gathering of friends if they need a laugh or want to tear it apart like on Mystery Science Theater 3000....

The first trailer for the upcoming video game sequel Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has now raced onto the internet and into all our hearts, giving us a pretty detailed look at not only the titular critter and his sidekick Tails, but also the beloved red echidna Knuckles. Much like his video game counterpart, it looks like Knuckles will begin as the villain, with the vocal talents of Idris Elba even being revealed, with the Luther star giving the character an intimidation factor like never before....

The recently released video game sequel Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is currently lighting up the box office, and now, director Jeff Fowler has teased what’s next for both the titular hedgehog and Idris Elba’s Knuckles. Introduced in the sequel, it has since been confirmed that Knuckles will star in his own spinoff series. While Fowler admits that the Knuckles show is in the “very early” stages, he states while speaking with DiscussingFilm that there is certainly a lot to be excited about with the project....

This November Sweeps, Bernie Kosar, the Rev. Al Sharpton and Daryl Hannah team with America’s Most Wanted: America Fights Back to help bring justice to crime victims and their families. On Saturday, Nov. 4 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), former NFL quarterback Bernie Kosar joins with AMW to help find the person responsible for the murder of Charles Scott White. When Kosar learned that the victim was a big fan from his Cleveland Browns days, he offered to help....

Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland has not yet signed on the dotted line to reprise the Marvel role for a fourth outing, though Sony is reportedly eager to get the wheels in motion on a sequel. According to a report by notable insider Jeff Sneider and his publication The Ankler, while nothing official has yet come to pass, Spider-Man 4 remains a “top priority” for the studio. Spider-Man: No Way Home, which saw the multiverse collapse on the MCU and re-introduced several familiar faces to the franchise including both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man variants, has been a huge success for Sony since its release last year....

We finally get another appearance from Maul (Sam Witwer). The plot does certainly thicken with a long expected reveal from the last encounter with the former Sith Lord. Star Wars Rebels dropped a major clue when Maul and Ezra (Taylor Gray) combined the Sith and Jedi Holocrons. “He’s alive” on the “planet with the two suns”. Visions and Voices reveals the one who will destroy the Sith. Phoenix Squadron are on Atollon planning to attack the Empire’s factories on Lothal....

Star Wars Rebels finally sheds light on the mystical Loth-wolves. The gigantic, furry beasts with the ability to teleport are linked to the Jedi temple on Lothal. Wolves and a Door has Phoenix Squadron on a daring mission to uncover the secrets of the temple. We also get an appearance…drum roll please…from Emperor Palpatine, voiced by the great Ian McDiarmid. The plot does indeed thicken. Wolves and a Door opens with Ezra (Taylor Gray) bringing his compatriots up to speed....

In the powerful star-studded season finale of NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, episode Screwed (Tuesday, May 22nd at 10 PM ET/PT). Actor/rapper Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges returns to SVU, along with guest star appearances by Star Jones Reynolds, Steven Weber, Nancy Grace, LisaGay Hamilton, Ernest Waddell, Vincent Spano, Judith Light, Michael Weston. In addition, Adam Beach makes his debut as new Special Victims Unit Detective ‘Chester Lake.’ Bridges, in a powerful performance reprising his role as Darius Parker, the step-son of Detective Odafin “Fin” Tutuola (Ice-T) and son of Teresa Randall (guest star LisaGay Hamilton) is on trial, a year later for the brutal murder of a woman and her baby, wreaking havoc for the detectives in the SVU....

Bam Margera’s presence was missed by longtime fans in Jackass Forever. While the longtime franchise star was set to return in the fourth film in the series, he had been fired during production for failing to abide by strict wellness guidelines, including a requirement that he stay sober. The filmmakers say Margera violated this agreement, though he’d later file a lawsuit against them arguing that it was unjust. The suit has since been settled for an undisclosed amount....

VAJNA FILM OPENS BANGKOK FESTIVAL The Bangkok Film Festival was scheduled to open tonight (Thursday) with the screening of the Hungarian drama Children of Glory, produced by veteran film mogul Andy Vajna. Vajna was expected to attend the opening ceremonies. His film replaced the Cannes Jury Award-winner Persepolis, which the festival removed at the behest of the Iranian embassy. TIE PREDICTED FOR BOX OFFICE – OR IS IT THAI? This weekend marks the official start of the fall box-office season, and it could hardly be less auspicious. The only film to open wide is Lionsgate’s Bangkok Dangerous, starring Nicolas Cage, which was not screened for critics. The studio itself, apparently, does not have high expectations for it and reportedly has cut its marketing budget for it. Box-office forecasters are predicting that it will take in about $10 million in its debut, about what they’re forecasting for the fourth week of Tropic Thunder, which has held the top-spot since its debut....

MEDIA STOCKS TAKE A DIVE Major media companies rode the roller coaster down another big dip in stock prices Monday, with several conglomerates hitting 52-week lows. In the case of General Electric, which owns 80 percent of NBC Universal, the stock hit a 16-year low. (In a related development, the French media company Vivendi, which owns the remaining 20 percent of NBC Universal, announced that it would write down the value of its stake in the company after its prorated income fell 18 percent in 2008....

LENO’S NUMBERS PLUMMET NBC, which had much to cheer about last week as more than 18 million viewers tuned in for the debut of the Jay Leno Show, must have been stunned after getting word today that ratings for the show had disintegrated after just a week. Monday’s episode attracted just 5.67 million viewers, about what he was drawing when Leno hosted the Tonightshow. Even more worrying, perhaps, was the sickly performance of a two-hour season debut of Heroes, which preceded the Leno show....
