The latest She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 3 trailer is full of action. Netflix released the trailer today during the reboot’s Comic-Con panel to enthusiastic responses from fans. The streaming platform has been having great success with the new take on the She-Ra franchise as a new generation of fans gets in on the fun. The series first premiered in November 2018 and sees Adora (Aimee Carrero) growing up as a soldier in the Horde alongside her best friend Catra (AJ Michalka)....

Emmy Award-winning actor Sean Hayes (NBC’s Will & Grace) will guest star in a multi-episode arc on NBC’s Smash as Terrence Falls, a comedic television and film star who is making his Broadway debut in the musical “Liaisons,” based on the novel “Les Liaisons Dangereuses.” Due to a series of comic circumstances, he becomes a major thorn in the side for Ivy Lynn (Megan Hilty) and other characters. This fall, Hayes also will make a guest appearance in a multi-episode arc on NBC’s Up All Night as Ava’s (Maya Rudolph) former accompanist....

The first Sonic the Hedgehog movie was a delightful joyride; fun, colorful, and showcasing a brilliant cast, it set a new standard for quality video game adaptations. Today at San Diego Comic-Con®, fans were given the first look at the newest addition to the growing “Star Trek” franchise, the animated comedy series Star Trek: Lower Decks, which will follow the support crew on one of Starfleet’s least important ships in 2380. During the Hall H Star Trek Universe panel moderated by series cast member Jerry O’Connell, Star Trek: Lower Decks creator and executive producer Mike McMahan (Rick and Morty) unveiled the voice cast and character animations with the help of surprise guests and cast members Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid and executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Heather Kadin....

It’s a crossover of epic proportions for geeks – Captain Picard from Star Trek: The Next Generation will be appearing on the next season of Doctor Who. According to London’s the Sun, Patrick Stewart will be making an appearance on the show as a renegade Time Lord known as the Meddling Monk. Stephen Norrington will write and direct a new version of The Crow, based on the comic created by James O’Barr. According to Variety, Ryan Kavanaugh’s Relativity Media is negotiating with producer Ed Pressman to acquire the film franchise and finance the film. Pressman produced the 1994 Alex Proyas-directed screen transfer, in which rock musician Eric Draven is murdered trying to rescue his girlfriend from thugs, and returns from the dead one year later to exact vengeance....

In a story from Variety it seems that Steven Spielberg is considering making a film based on the popular book character Matt Helm. The character was featured in 27 novels by Donald Hamilton. He is a government agent who goes after bad guys. A script was recently delivered to the director from writer Paul Attanasio. DreamWorks was developing the project but had to leave it at Paramount when the two companies parted ways....

ALMOST HERE: TV WHEN YOU WANT ITComcast COO Steve Burke predicted Friday that ABC and Fox will follow NBC and CBS into the video-on-demand arena within three to six months. The networks have been making programming available for viewing on Comcast’s systems the day after their original broadcasts for 99 cents per show. Advertising is also included in the VOD presentations but not necessarily the same as those carried during the original broadcasts....

The game averaged 17.80 million viewers – a figure that remained virtually flat throughout the night. It was the best showing for Major League Baseball since the final game of last year’s World Series – and topped the previous games of that Series....

This year saw Tom Brady and the New England Patriots heading to the biggest game of the season for a third consecutive year to take on the Los Angeles Rams and the young Jared Goff.
