Robert Mark Kamen has been signed to write the screenplay for the upcoming CG-animated motion picture Gatchaman, it was jointly announced by Imagi Studios Co-CEO & Chief Creative Officer Francis Kao and Co-CEO Douglas E. Glen. Kamen will work closely on Gatchaman with producer Lynne Southerland and director Kevin Munroe (TMNT). Scheduled for completion in late 2008, Gatchaman will expand the visual boundaries of CG animation through dynamic camera work and action sequences....

Rockmond Dunbar discusses portraying Eli Roosevelt on Sons of Anarchy Season 5 After memorable roles on Soul Food, Prison Break, and Terriers, actor Rockmond Dunbar has found a new home in Charming, California on the FX series Sons of Anarchy. He joined the series last season, portraying Eli Roosevelt in the popular series, which returns with “Toad’s Wild Ride” Tuesday, October 23 at 10 PM ET on FX. The actor recently conducted a conference call, and he started out by talking about how he rarely knows future plot lines in advance, while teasing a few details about the Season 5 finale....

According to Variety, he is jumping head first into production on The Da Vinci Code sequel Angels and Demons. ABC’s Roseanne revival has added yet another important new cast member, Shameless star Emma Kenney, who has signed on to play Harris, the daughter of Darlene (Sara Gilbert) and David (Johnny Galecki). Laurie Metcalf revealed this summer that there will be new Roseanne characters introduced in this revival, but fans have technically already been introduced to Harris. Darlene gave birth to the premature Harris in the 19th episode of the ninth and final season of the original Roseanne series....

ThinkFilm has set a late-summer release for Farce of the Penguins, a parody of the documentary March of the Penguins to be narrated by Samuel L. Jackson. Bob Saget is producing with David Permut and set the pic with ThinkFilm last fall. Saget wrote the script and is directing a feature that transforms the docu’s depiction of penguin survival and mating rituals into the story of one bird’s search for love while on a 70-mile trek with hedonistic buddies obsessed with getting laid....

The Scrubs team got back together for a panel at the ATX Festival, and everyone confirmed that they’d all be on board to reunite for a revival. Created by Bill Lawrence, Scrubs originally aired for nine seasons from 2001-2010. The medical sitcom followed the employees of the Scared Heart Hospital, picking up when most of the main cast members were just getting started as interns. It had served as one of television’s most popular shows when it was on the air....

Hot off their highly successful freshman seasons, Showtime has ordered second seasons of Shameless and Episodes, it was announced today by David Nevins President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. Starring William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum, the outrageous hour-long family drama Shameless received a 12-episode order for its second season, while half-hour comedy series Episodes, starring TV icon Matt LeBlanc as a fictional version of himself, received a second season order with the number of episodes to be determined....

Shawn Ashmore, known to fans as Bobby Drake/Iceman in the X-Men films, says that he is both under contract and eager to reprise the character in a future film, something that will be more likely if X-Men Origins: Wolverine succeeds at the box-office. Ashmore spoke to SCI FI Wire about his part in the film adaptations of Marvel’s mutant superheroes, where he talked about where he might appear next. Ashmore said that, in all likelihood, that next appearance of his will not be in X-Men: First Class, although the character of Bobby Drake may appear....

Seagal has been a fully commissioned deputy for the Jefferson Parish County Sherrif’s Office for the past 20 years, on a part-time basis.
