SAG TO GET “LAST, BEST, AND FINAL OFFER” The major film studios and TV networks are planning to make the Screen Actors Guild “a last, best and final offer” as early as next week, Daily Varietyreported today (Friday), citing no sources. If the guild refuses to accept it or does not back off from demands for higher DVD and Internet residuals than those agreed to by the DGA, WGA and AFTRA, production will halt at the end of June, the expiration of the current agreement, the trade publication said....

Surviving Suburbia Finds A New Home At Abc

It seems that ABC has picked up an orphan from the CW Network, and given it a prime timeslot. According to Variety, ABC has acquired the series Surviving Suburbia from Media Rights Capital. The series was originally set to air on the CW Network, but after their ties with MRC were severed, the show was left without a network, when ABC made the move. The network has also given the series a great timeslot, airing at Monday nights at 9:30 PM, starting on April 6, getting a huge lead-in from Dancing with the Stars....
