Comicbook company Studio 407 has signed a deal with Myriad Pictures, giving Myriad the first-look rights to any of their properties, according to Variety. In return, Myriad has the option to use Studio 407 to supervise production and development of comics based on Myriad’s films. Studio 407 is a new comic publisher based out of Bangkok with offices in the U.S. Their content is described by managing director, Alex Leung as “East meets West,” with both American and Asian art and story elements....

NETWORKS FACE GREAT WALL OF CHINA Television networks around the world (including the U.S.’s NBC) who have been licensed to cover the Beijing Olympics are complaining about foot-dragging by Chinese officials in granting necessary permits for everything from freight shipments to camera placements, the Associated Press reported Monday. Ryan will team up with Ocean’s Eleven screenwriter Ted Griffin for an untitled one-hour comedy program centering on a private investigator....

We have our first look at the upcoming series She-Hulk with a new teaser revealed for Disney+ Day. The official logo for the show has also been revealed with the She-Hulk branding set against a city skyline. Solar Opposites is an animated comedy that follows a family of aliens who were sent to Earth in order to colonize it before their home planet, Shlorp, is destroyed. Per Deadline, Nickelodeon has just renewed several of its most popular animated programs, including Blue’s Clues & You! for season 5 and PAW Patrol for season 10. Also officially announced is that SpongeBob SquarePants will return to Nickelodeon for its fourteenth season, which comes with 26 new episodes of the long-running cartoon series. It also shows Nick’s commitment to the original incarnation of the franchise despite its continued expansion with feature films and various spinoffs....
